Info from Licensor: "This is an old world species of tarantula that is native to a small town in India. It is a critically endangered species in the wild due to loss of habitat. The venom of a Poecilotheria metallica, also known as the Gooty Sapphire Ornamental, is medically significant. She was being extremely calm, so I decided it was a good opportunity to handle her to show her colors and size."

Info from Licensor: "I was in town in Indianapolis for my daughters national competition. They had an early call that morning (3:30am) and well I needed coffee and wanted to make sure she had something in her stomach. I was looking for a gas station but none were open at the time in the area. I knew McDonalds would have coffee so I went there. I placed the order (and never got coffee as they were out), and drove around. That's when I heard the arguing. Then I saw the 2 girls exit their car and dive thru the window. At first I thought they were robbing the McDonalds, but when I heard the name calling I knew it was just them arguing over something dumb. I started to record from that point. I wanted to ensure that the girls were held accountable for their actions. At one point in the video, i actually duck behind the steering wheel, as I didn't want them to see me record them. It maybe lasted about 30 seconds and when they exited and drove off, I shut off the video camera and drove up to the window. I saw that the manager was frazzled and also on the phone with the police. He then said that he didn't get any of their information. I chimed in and said, well I recorded it. I sent him the video and also sent him a screen shot where I captured the license plate. He provided it to the police from there. I drove off after getting my order and that was that."

Info: "Todd Pilgrim has been unsuccessfully but legally hunting for a bison for 14 years. He shot the bison twice in the lung area with 338 ultra-mag bullets. Todd tracked the the wounded bison for about four hours, the first two hours with his buddy Fred, then alone for the last two hours.Todd found a fresh bed where the bison laid down, then he was struck by a angry bison that was just protecting himself from a predator. Todd escaped from being underneath the bison, then ran to a tree. The bison chased him around the tree, then gave up the chase, walked away 20 feet. Todd picked up his rifle and killed the bison. Todd went over and knelt down by the bison with his arms wrapped around the bison neck crying, "I'm sorry for killing you man, I really am, please forgive me". Todd is done hunting forever, he'll never kill another living thing and he's selling all his guns. He patted the bison on the chest, while blood dripped on over the bison's chest fur from his nasty forehead gash, the same chest that almost crushed Todd's skull. Todd, teary-eyed in one eye and blood filling the other eye, thanked the bison for giving up his life for him. He's writing a new book entitled, The Life and Times of 'Biscuit, the Teenage Male Bison'."

Orem Chiropractor - R. Ned McArthur, D.C.
Hi this is Dr Ned McArthur This is number 3 in a series of videos inspired by a 2012 Prevention Magazine article entitled seven weird ways your posture affects your health and happiness.
Today's topic: Bad posture as a cause of constipation

In days past poor posture was a sign that you lacked manners, education and respectability. Today, poor posture is a sign that you have a smart phone, a computer and constipation.

Many people sit all day long and for large portions of the day are looking at some kind of screen. If this sounds like you, you know that living and working like this leads to many kinds of pain and soreness.

It also leads to being overly stimulated and overly stressed. Then add the physical pressure put on your intestines from sitting slumped over and the next time you feel like you gotta go you discover that you can't go.

The good news is you can do something about it. Turn off the phone, move around and correct your posture. Correcting your posture will help you look better, feel better and poop better.
What have you noticed? Let me know in the comments.

Thanks for watching. Utah Orem Provo Lindon Pleasant Grove Spanish Fork Springville

The latest workout studio to take the NYC fitness scene by storm is none other than Tone House. Talk to pretty much any trainer, fitness devotee, or gym rat in town and they’ll tell you that, of all the studios to try, Tone House is a must. Why? “It’s the first-ever extreme, athletic-based studio aimed at unleashing the inner athlete in everyone,” says co-founder Alonzo Wilson. In other words, a sweat session here is hard AF, but in a way that feels really freaking good. And the benefits you reap are killer. “The human body is designed to move as a whole and on multiple planes—forward, backward, up, down and laterally—and that’s similar to how athletes train to stay in peak condition,” says Wilson. “So when you work out at Tone House, you can get the same or similar benefits as them—improved cardio endurance, muscle strength, power, speed, core strength, agility, reactivity, balance, and more. Not to mention you’ll burn about 800 to 1,000 calories per class.” Now, we’re not ones to brag about how great a workout is and not let you in on the action. So we teamed up with Wilson to develop a 20-minute, no-equipment workout (OK, you need two paper plates, but that’s it!) reminiscent of what you’ll experience at Tone House’s brick-and-mortar. Bust it out next time you’re ready to get sweaty—and don’t be surprised if you end up using it again (and again). Because with the results you’re about to get, it’s pretty damn easy to get addicted. Consider yourself warned. (For more tips on how to build muscles strong enough for bridge pose, pick up Women’s Health’s Lift to Get Lean by Holly Perkins.) To warm up, do high knees for 20 seconds, bringing your knees up to your chest. Do toe taps side-to-side using the paper plates for 20 seconds. Rest for 15 seconds. Do two sets. Lots of us swear by our bedtime tea—and many companies make teas specifically geared to helping you get a better night's sleep. But do these concoctions actually work, or are they mostly placebo? We had a couple of nutritionists peek at the most common ingredients to weigh in on their actual effects on tiredness and sleep. Turns out, while the ingredients in bedtime teas vary, a few of the most common just might put you in the mood for sleep. So do bedtime teas really work? Unfortunately the answer isn’t clear-cut. “Most of the research is very weak or in animal studies. That’s normal for most herbal remedies,” says Langer. When that parched feeling strikes, the solution seems simple enough: guzzle a glass of H20 and steer clear of salty foods. But if you find that your thirst isn’t quenched no matter how much water you drink, your bod could be dropping a hint that something else is going on. “When we’re thirsty, we naturally think dehydration—but that feeling of thirst may be a sign of an underlying medical condition,” says Mia Finkelston, M.D., board-certified family physician for the telehealth app LiveHealth Online. If excessive thirst is present more days of the week than not, then you should check in with your doc for a consult—especially if you’re experiencing other weird symptoms too, such as fatigue, headaches, skin and hair changes, and an uptick in bathroom breaks. BY BROOK BENTEN, ACSM-CERTIFIED EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST FOR PREVENTION Strength training creates tiny microscopic tears in the muscle fibers that allow them to grow back stronger—that's why you feel muscle soreness post-workout. The process of healing those tears takes 24-48 hours, so avoid doing this program on consecutive days. Allow 1-2 days between, and do cardio or stretching workouts while your muscles heal. If you rarely or never experience this soreness, increase the weights you are lifting. Credit:http://www.womenshealthmag.com/fitness/6-strength-training-workouts

That said, it’s just as important to down protein at breakfast: Unlike carbs, “our bodies can’t store protein, so it’s important to work it into every single meal,” says Karen Ansel, R.D. What’s more, this cell-building macronutrient is key for preventing mid-morning hunger pangs. “When you eat protein your gut releases satiety hormones that tell your brain that you're full and have had enough to eat,” she explains. Credit: http://www.womenshealthmag.com/food/high-protein-breakfast-swaps/ Brigitte Zeitlin, R.D., recommends aiming for at least 15 grams at your first meal of the day to stay full, focused, and satisfied until lunch. Here are a few simple swaps, additions, and tweaks to increase your morning protein intake.
