I got my letter from EAA today (Sunday - 9/21/2008). Honestly I don't give a damn about what EAA serves me. What I'm concerned with is if we can go after this supposedly LAPD personnel for anything? I hope we can.
Read an urgent message from Michael Hunt, Transportation Engineering Associate III and EAA member. Then watch Part Two video about what happened when he and Julius Obembe went back to EAA to ask where our money is going: "Yesterday I went to EAA's downtown LA office with another member, Julius Obembe, to request financial documents. Federal law and EAA's own bylaws said I should have been able to walk out with copies, and EAA had more than 24 hours to get them ready after receiving a letter signed by a dozen of my LA City colleagues. But for the second time in 24 hours I came away empty-handed—and another bad experience with EAA to report." - Michael Hunt
A testimony from a happy SEIU member.
Fire EAA !!! Fire BOB !!! Fire EAA !!! Fire BOB !!! Fire EAA !!! Fire BOB !!!
On Wednesday, August 27, a dozen L.A. City employees represented by EAA signed a letter to our union asking for what they owe us: Full disclosure of how our money is spent, so we can make an informed choice.
