Jabra BT125 Bluetooth Headset Review 06:47

    Jabra BT125 Bluetooth Headset Review

    by Godismyrock (5/28/09) 568 views

I got my Jabra BT125 Blue Tooth Headset with my copy of Warhawk back when I first got my PS3 and here's the review! Overall the Jabra BT125 is a really solid and well performing headset especially for only $12.00! I would recommend the Jabra BT125 to anyone who doesn't mind wearing a Bluetooth headset on their ear. BUY THE JABRA BT125: http://www.Extreme-Days.com/buy/jabrabt125.html Check Out The Blog: http://www.Extreme-Days.com Follow Me On Twitter: http://Twitter.com/Godismyrock Join Me On Facebook: http://www.Extreme-Days.com/facebook.html First I'll start with the look of the Jabra headset. Out of the many headsets I've seen, I must say, the Jabra BT125 has a really sleek looking design and is easily one of the sexiest headsets I've come across. Although the design does nothing to improve the abilities of hte headset, the look does mean something and for the Jabra, the look is at its best! The comfort level of the Jabra BT125 headset isn't the best. To be honest I really don't like the feel of many Bluetooth Headsets to begin with and Jabra could have put a little more thought into the comfort level of this bad boy. I found that after a while of using it, my ear would really start to hurt, but being as I was gaming, I ignored it until it turned from a sore ear into a throbbing headache. That was the main reason why I went out and bought the FreeStyler 500. I ended up sacrificing some quality and performance for the comfort, but that's just me. The sound quality on the Jabra BT 125 is really quite amazing for a $12.00 mic. I found that I never had to turn the volume to the maximum and I could always hear clearly and from what others have told me, they could hear me clearly as well. I never got any complaints in game lobbies from anyone telling me that my mic was buzzing so there's no need to worry about that. As far as quality goes, this is probably among the best you'll find in the Jabra's price range. Overall the Jabra BT125 is a solid headset and I really think it was very well designed. Again, the only negative thing was the comfort and that really kills this headset for me. If you're looking for a headset, I'd say this is a great option and for only $12.00 it's worth a shot! http://www.themodelship.com http://www.powershelfoutletcovers.com

    InFamous - PS3 Exclusive Review 06:45

    InFamous - PS3 Exclusive Review

    by Godismyrock (5/26/09) 286 views

Here is another PS3 exclusive review for inFamous! The inFamous demo is one of the best demo's that I've ever played, this even tops the UFC demo, and you all know how much I liked that! I really enjoyed the demo and I wasn't planning on picking this up when it came out, but the demo might have changed my mind. You're definitely going to want to download this demo because this game is beast! BUY INFAMOUS: http://www.Extreme-Days.com/buy/infamous.html Check Out The Blog: http://www.Extreme-Days.com Follow Me On Twitter: http://Twitter.com/Godismyrock Join Me On Facebook: http://www.Extreme-Days.com/facebook.html So I saw that inFamous was out and so I decided to download it and give it a try after watching a few reviews. Unlike most other demos I've downloaded, while I was waiting for inFamous to download I actually forgot that it was downloading and came back to the Playstation 3 a few hours later and realized that it had been finished for hours. For some reason I just didn't think this game was going to have everything to make it a winner for me. I played the first half of the demo without sound because I was using the computer at the same time and wasn't putting too much attention into the game, so I can't really talk about the story in the beginning, as I didn't watch the entire thing with sound. Even so, I've got to say it looked good. The way Sucker Punch put the comic feel into the story made it really feel like a super hero game. The graphics of inFamous, I must say, could have been better. I know inFamous has been a while in the making so I'll give them that, they started the game a while ago, but still, the graphics didn't cut it for me. I'm glad they focused on the electricity and the way that looks, because that's what saved it for me. The explosions and the way Cole uses the electricity is very well done. The fact that you can hover or just drop off the top of a building and come down in a ball of electric fury is freaking sweet! The controls are the easiest controls of any game that I've every played before! The way they work reminded me of God of War a little bit and how you unlock more combos and build on moves as you continue through the game. For me, it does get a little confusing after you build up your arsenal of moves and combos because you have so many variations that you forget them and end up leaving some out and just use the same bunch of moves. I have to give Sucker Punch credit in the variety of moves and the layout of the guide that shows you the buttons for each move. I think they did a great job on this and it seems like they spread out the unlocking of moves throughout the game so you don't get too many moves too fast. Finally the gameplay, it reminds me of Spiderman, Grand Theft Auto, Tony Hawk, and God of War. The Spiderman feel comes from the way you climb up objects, I really love the smoothness in the way you just flow up buildings. The GTA feel comes from the open environment. I really love sandbox games and it looks like inFamous might find it's way to a spot in my favorites with the set up of the map. For some reason when I'm running down the streets it just feels like the old Tony Hawk games to me. I can't figure out if it's the cars or just that you run fast and it seems like you're on a skateboard. Either way, it's not a bad thing, I enjoyed the Tony Hawk games and inFamous looks awesome! As I mentioned before, the God of War feel, to me, comes with the way you build on your moves and unlock variations of the moves that you've already learned. Overall, inFamous looks just awesome and I think I'm going to pick it up if I have the extra cash. The only complaints I have are there were a few glitches that I found and the enemies were very repetitive. Sucker Punch didn't put a lot of effort into breaking up the look of the enemies. One more thing I didn't like too much was the layout of the city, to me it just felt repetitive and seemed like parts of it were neglected by the designers, but I can deal with that for being able to run around and electrocute anyone and ...

Left 4 Dead Review for Xbox 360 and PC 07:36

Left 4 Dead Review for Xbox 360 and PC

    by Godismyrock (5/16/09) 679 views

The Left 4 Dead video review, an Xbox 360 exclusive! Left 4 Dead was a requested review by vinhbotchu after he donated $5.00, so go check out his channel here: http://www.youtube.com/user/vinhbotchu Overall, Left 4 Dead is a fun, time killing, zombie game and I think it's worth buying. If you don't want to buy it, just rent it to give it a try and see how you like it. It does get fairly repetitive, so renting might be the better idea for you. BUY LEFT 4 DEAD FOR 360: http://www.Extreme-Days.com/buy/left4dead360.html BUY LEFT 4 DEAD FOR PC: http://www.Extreme-Days.com/buy/left4deadpc.html Check Out The Blog: http://www.Extreme-Days.com Follow Me On Twitter: http://Twitter.com/Godismyrock Join Me On Facebook: http://www.Extreme-Days.com/facebook.html As far as the controls go, they are pretty much just standard shooter controls and for once, the sensitivity is actually not too bad. You can raise it up so that it's at least playable for those of you who are like me and need high sensitivity to play at your best. Other then that, the controls are great and easy to pick up right away. The graphics are pretty exceptional for an Xbox 360 game, I have to give the credit to Valve for putting such effort into the details in this game. This being said, the graphics aren't on the top of the charts, but they pass the test. Left 4 Dead is a really fun game when you first pick it up and why wouldn't it be? Who doesn't like to slaughter zombies with multiple weapons? Anyway, after a while of 'zombie mowing' it gets pretty repetitive and the lifetime value of this game is fairly low. I must say, this is probably one of the games you would want to rent instead of buy. Just by renting it, you could probably get the full picture of what it's all about and fully enjoy what Left 4 Dead has to offer. If you're a gamer who likes to take their time and really take in the game, you might have to rent it twice to get through everything. Left 4 Dead really focuses on teamwork for every aspect of the game, no matter what you're doing, teamwork is essential for the survival of everyone. You need to stick together and watch each others back. Another quality that goes hand in hand with teamwork is communication. You and your team are going to have to have good communication or you are setting yourselves up for failure. When you have zombies coming at you from everywhere, it's good to know where your teammates are and which sides are covered or need to be covered. I think with all of these pro's and cons taken into consideration, Left 4 Dead is a great game and offers a lot of fun for a short amount of time. It is one of those games that you can only play so much of before getting bored of it and probably trading it in. You might want to hold on to Left 4 Dead as it can be a pretty fun party game, but there are plenty of other party games that I would keep instead. Have an awesome weekend everyone! http://www.themodelship.com http://www.powershelfoutletcovers.com

High Velocity Bowling PSN Game Review 06:50

High Velocity Bowling PSN Game Review

    by Godismyrock (5/14/09) 2,087 views

The review High Velocity Bowling PSN game for the PS3! High Velocity Bowling is a PSN game that you use the six axis controller to bowl. From tilting the controller to move your bowler, to moving your hand in a sweeping motion to make your bowler try for a strike, it's all done through the power of six axis! Check Out The Blog: http://www.Extreme-Days.com Follow Me On Twitter: http://Twitter.com/Godismyrock Join Me On Facebook: http://www.Extreme-Days.com/facebook.html Wii bowling and other Wii sports got really big and became the Wii's claim to fame. Up until recently the Wii really didn't have any competition in their niche, but now Sony is trying to take a piece of their action. I must say, I think Sony did a very good job of getting themselves into a competitive position with High Velocity Bowling. I personally never really enjoyed Wii bowling, I think it was fun, but very gimmicky and just overall not very enjoyable. When I played High Velocity Bowling, the story was completely the opposite! From the way you hold the PS3 six axis controller, to the graphics and game modes, High Velocity Bowling got it right! Besides the obvious graphical advantage of Sony's Playstation 3 over the Wii, the design of the classic Playstation controller has finally proved to be the winner. The way you hold the Wii controller is comfortable and controlled, but not even close to the way you would hold a real bowling ball. With the six axis controller, you hold it almost as close as you can get to the way you hold a real bowling ball. This makes the gameplay easier and much more realistic. Sometimes the six axis gets a little confused and when you put your hand forward the bowlers hand goes backwards, but that's the only issue I have had so far with the PSN game. This being said, at least you don't have to have a sensor bar on top of your TV or game system just so you can play a motion game, so we expect a few quirks anyway. High Velocity Bowling definitely gives you a bunch of contend for you to download or unlock. They have been consistent with putting out free DLC for the holidays and I think they will continue with that. Of course there are paid add-ons available to purchase from the Playstation Network and they are reasonably priced! Overall I would say that High Velocity Bowling blows Wii bowling out of the water and down the street! Watch out Wii, there's a new competitor in the market and they've already outdone you with their first attempt! http://www.themodelship.com http://www.powershelfoutletcovers.com

    Going to Hawaii 02:18

    Going to Hawaii

    by Godismyrock (5/12/09) 141 views

Ok, I'm going to Hawaii the week after school ends until the end of July, so that means I can't make any videos unless I get a laptop before I leave. I've come up with a little idea that I need all of you to help me out with! Basically every $5.00 or more donation I get, I'm going to let that person request a video from me about whatever they want! If I get a donation under $5.00 I will give that person a mention in the upcoming videos. SEND ME A DONATION THROUGH PAYPAL: Godismyrock@extreme-days.com If I don't raise enough money before I leave, at least you guys will have lots of videos to keep you occupied while I am away. If I do collect enough money, I will buy a laptop and continue making videos all vacation long. As money is raised, I'm going to give away more shirts and maybe some other items depending on how well this goes. So I need all of your help! Please send me a donation if you don't want my videos to stop for the summer! SEND ME A DONATION THROUGH PAYPAL: Godismyrock@extreme-days.com

Killzone 2 Map Pack DLC 03:44

    Killzone 2 Map Pack DLC

    by Godismyrock (5/11/09) 149 views

Killzone 2 has just released their first DLC! It's two new maps for us all to enjoy! The two maps are, Wasteland Bullet, which is a bullet train that transports supplies and troops between Pyrrhus and the Wasteland and the second map is the Vekta Cruiser, which is the ISA starship that they must defend against the attacking Helghast soldiers. Check Out The Blog: http://www.Extreme-Days.com Follow Me On Twitter: http://Twitter.com/Godismyrock Join Me On Facebook: http://www.Extreme-Days.com/facebook.html As far as the design and play of the two maps, I would say I don't have too much to complain about. If you've played through the campaign, you're already familiar with both of these maps so there's not going to be too much of a suprise packaged with your purchase. Like other games, they just moved around a few things and made things smoother so they will work with online play, but other than that they barely changed anything. Wasteland Bullet is not my favorite map, but I would say I'm glad they included it. It can get pretty crazy sometimes and there's a lot of 'rocket spam' on some of the game modes. This does get very annoying, very quickly, but is easily fought back with if you just come up from behind. The various targets for each game mode were placed pretty well, I think they could have done a better job to prevent some of the rocket abuse or the 'grenade spam', but this map isn't completely trash. The second map is the Vekta Cruiser which is completely indoors, thus making it quite claustrophobic at times. The only time when I get really frustrated at the placement on this map is during Search and Destroy. I find that this game mode just gets insane and I tend to just try and defend or go for kills instead of trying to complete the objective because both of the points are right in the middle of the room. I really like the Vekta Cruiser map, I'm not sure why, it is just very appealing to me. I've played it a lot and I think it should have been one of the original maps included with the Killzone 2 game itself. I really hope that they come out with more DLC for Killzone 2, maybe some more game modes or maps. I think if they added in some new weapons for more ranks that would add a lot of power to the game. Overall I think these maps are good and if you're on the fence about buying them, I would say do it, but if you aren't too interested I would say they're not a must have and the money could be spent on different DLC that would give you more gameplay and add more game value to your PS3. http://www.themodelship.com http://www.powershelfoutletcovers.com

Burn Zombie Burn PSN Game Review 07:33

Burn Zombie Burn PSN Game Review

    by Godismyrock (5/6/09) 359 views

Here's the review of the PSN game Burn Zombie Burn! In Burn Zombie Burn, the object is to kill the most zombies as fast as you can with an arsenal full of weapons at your disposal! You start off with a semi-auto pistol and a torch and the more zombies you exterminate, the more weapons you get to choose from! Check Out The Blog: http://www.Extreme-Days.com Follow Me On Twitter: http://Twitter.com/Godismyrock Join Me On Facebook: http://www.Extreme-Days.com/facebook.html Your pack of weapons ranges from a chainsaw to a gatling gun to a speaker that makes the zombies stop and dance so you can mow them down or light them on fire! There are three game modes included with the PSN game. The first is classic arcade mode, in which you go on until you die and take out the most zombies as you can before dying. The second mode is a time challenge, in this mode, as you kill zombies they occasionally drop a timer that when you pick up adds time the countdown clock and you go on for as long as you can before the timer runs out. The third mode is protect Daisy, this is where the zombies are after Bruce's girlfriend Daisy and they all go after her and you have to protect your dear girl before the zombies get the best of her! There is one final mode in which you have to complete the round with certain handicaps placed on you. The gameplay is a bit like Super Stardust HD, where the object is to destroy the things coming at you, pick up the powerups they drop, and last as long as you can, but the theme is a bit different. Instead of burning up asteroids and collecting the various upgrades dropped, you light zombies on fire and finish them off in whatever way gives you the most pleasure. While playing this game I found myself yelling and laughing out loud as I annihilated thousands of zombies! This game is a good one to have saved up on your PS3 and a must have for zombie fans! I also liked how they included a good bunch of trophies with the game as well. Some of them fairly hard to get, increasing the length of game play by a long time! I have to admit this game is providing me quite a bit of a challenge in acquiring the gold medals, I think I will have to have a friend over and beat it in the co-op game mode because I've tried too many times on my own! The graphics are great, the gameplay is great, the replay value is great, the price is great, and the entire game is great! The one and only complaint I have is that you can't play your own music library while playing the game. The other thing that would be nice is if they lowered the price, but hey, people need to get paid for their work, so I'm happy to support them if they do as good a job as has been done with Burn Zombie Burn! http://www.themodelship.com http://www.powershelfoutletcovers.com

    Stick Wars App Review 08:17

    Stick Wars App Review

    by Godismyrock (5/5/09) 1,337 views

The iPod app review of Stick Wars! This game is just like Defend Your Castle for the PC. There have been many remakes of Defend Your Castle over the years, but they all had the same concept. This time, it has come to the iPod Touch and iPhone! Now, instead of flinging those pesky stick figures with your mouse, you get to fling them with your finger! Check Out The Blog: http://www.Extreme-Days.com Follow Me On Twitter: http://Twitter.com/Godismyrock Join Me On Facebook: http://www.Extreme-Days.com/facebook.html I used to love this game and spend hours playing it. I never thought of putting it on the iPod Touch and iPhone, but as soon as I saw that someone had already done it, I bought it right away! Stick Wars is only $0.99 in the app store and it's worth much more than that! For a game that goes on forever, I don't know why someone wouldn't go purchase this app! As far as the game goes, they did a great job on the tutorial, explaining what everything does and how to use them all. It has the option to turn off the blood for those young users out there and you can change the difficulty as well! One other plus is that you can play your music while playing Stick Wars! Don't you hate those apps that you have to listen to their soundtrack and you have no choice to turn it off. When you bring up the game just double click the home button and press play and your music will start playing!

Use Headphones As a Microphone 06:31

    Use Headphones As a Microphone

    by Godismyrock (4/23/09) 893 views

Headphones, we all have them lying around. In fact, most of us have a few pairs. To name a few that I have, the official apple headphones, a pair of sony over the ear headphones, a pair of old school sony headphones, noise canceling maxell headphones, I have a set of skullcandy full metal jacket earbuds, and last but not least, the grenade X boosted headphones. Check Out The Blog: http://www.Extreme-Days.com Follow Me On Twitter: http://Twitter.com/Godismyrock Join Me On Facebook: http://www.Extreme-Days.com/facebook.html If you were to ask me how many microphones I have, I would tell you two. As with most people, I don't have a lot of microphones laying around and for a while I didn't have any microphones at all. I solved this problem by using a pair of headphones as a microphone. I wouldn't recommend using a pair of headphones as you only microphone, but it will work if you need a microphone and you can't get your hands on one right away. Who knows, you might find a great pair of headphones that work perfectly for you as a microphone, but you'll never know if you don't give it a shot! So first, look at the end of your headphones and count the rings. You will most likely have two rings, this is for the left and right audio. If you have three rings this means you have a mic built into your headphones already and you're all set! After counting the rings, if you have two rings, plug the headphones into a camera or a computer's microphone input jack. Now, start talking into the headphones and see if your device picks up your voice. Try talking in both earphones at once to get a clearer and louder sound. If this works you're all set! Just be sure to post a comment telling me what kind of headphones you used and what you plugged them into. If it didn't work, try another pair until you get one to work! Hope this will keep all of those horrible videos where people record themselves typing a tutorial in notepad without a microphone! http://www.TheModelShip.com http://www.PowerShelfOutletCovers.com
