    Champions online is being developed by the same people who did city of Heroes. A September 1, 2009 release date has been set but they are doing closed beta currently. Champions Online is based on the popular pen-and-paper Champions role-playing game created by George MacDonald in 1981. The Champions RPG is still in production today under Steve Long of Hero Games. Though Champions Online does not use the Hero system, they have taken plenty of inspiration form the Hero System by taking the core concepts of character and power customization and incorporating them nito our vison of the Champions universe. There currently is no info on monthly fees or price.
