Hydration is key! The 5 Factors Contributing to Neck Pain, Back Pain, and Sciatica: Dehydration or Inadequate Hydration The five factors contributing to neck pain, back pain, and sciatica are crucial, not only for our own edification but also for our overall understanding of how to best construct and/or follow a real and lasting, effective pain relief strategy. Dealing with the 5 contributory factors will put us on the road to permanent neck pain, back pain, and sciatica relief. While we have discussed the 5 factors over the past several months, we have gone into detail over the last few days. It is my hope that you will achieve real and lasting relief as a result. The fifth factor, dehydration or inadequate hydration is vitally important, as our intervertebral discs are made of primarily of water. We lose water daily and our ability to replenish our body's water supply is seriously jeopardized by our habits and our intake of various fluids know to be diuretic in nature. The video here and the expanded article at: http://TheBadBackGuy.com And others at: http://UltimateBadBackStrategies.com Will deal with this subject and all of the 5 factors contributing to neck pain, back pain, and sciatica in greater depth.
http://TheBadBackGuy.net Diet and Nutrition: Overcoming Neck, Back and Sciatic Nerve Pain! The 4th Factor Contributing to Neck Pain, Back Pain, and Sciatica! In understanding and dealing effectively with neck pain, back pain, and sciatica it is crucial we understand what factors most affect and exacerbate neck, back, and sciatic nerve pain...and how to find real and lasting pain relief. The first of the five factors is excess weight and/or obesity. The second contributory factor is muscle weakness. The third is muscle imbalance. The fourth factor leading to neck pain, back pain, and sciatica is inadequate diet and nutrition. The fifth factor is dehydration or inadequate hydration. These 5 factors, take singularly or in concert are the main reasons most people see their medical practitioner for neck, back, and leg pain. These are not the only factors but they are most often responsible and many of the "other" factors can be linked back at least in part to one or a combination of several of the above 5 factors. To see more on this and to understand this topic more completely, along with the other factors go to: http://TheBadBackGuy.com http://UltimateBadbackStrategies.com Contact me anytime!
http://TheBadBackGuy.net As stated previously, the recumbent bike is about as good as it gets for someone just starting out with any sort of neck pain, back pain and sciatica relief exercise program. I am back up to 60 minutes and build that time into my day, so I get the most out of my exercise program and my work day. While many argue about the mind body link and all of that, I find as long as you get through the exercise, the benefit will profound and lasting. Your body has no idea whether you are thinking about your legs or reading a book! All that mind-body link mysticism is just that. Just do it! You will achieve real and lasting neck pain, back pain, and sciatica relief! http://TheBadBackGuy.com http://UltimateBadBackStrategies.com Contact me anytime!

http://TheBadBackGuy.net Stretching is a crucial part of any neck pain, back pain, and sciatica relief and treatment exercise program. Begin your routine slowly and you will be amazed at the results! I have made this video with two stretches I do often, several times a day as a matter of fact. They help relieve tension and they help to alleviate stiff and tired neck and back muscles. For those just beginning a neck pain, back pain, and sciatica relief and treatment exercise program, these stretches will be immensely helpful! You can find them at my blog too, The Bad Back Guy's Neck Pain, Back Pain, and Sciatica Relief Blog: http://TheBadBackGuy.com
http://TheBadBackGuy.net Muscle imbalances may be the most misunderstood and misdiagnosed condition leading to neck pain, back pain, and sciatica. Muscles are often either synergistic or antagonistic. Meaning, the muscles either work with one another or the oppose one another. Opposing muscles do not oppose each other in a negative fashion but in a positive one. Like muscles that work together, as in synergy or synergistic muscles, antagonistic muscle groups work as opposites but they do so to move the body or to do any number of functions. In the video at The Bad Back Guy's Neck Pain, Back Pain, and Sciatica Relief Blog http://TheBadBackGuy.com I mistakenly call a group of muscles synergistic, when in fact they are antagonistic. This is quite common, as they all work together. However, muscles, like people, can sometimes be a bit overpowering...and that isn't a good thing! Muscles need to be in balance, every muscle and muscle group doing their job in just the right way at just the right time. If a muscle or muscle group is too weak or too powerful, it can create problems for the individual. In our case, muscle imbalances can create situations leading to neck pain, back pain, and/or sciatica. It is up to our medical practitioner to recognize and correct these imbalances. Unfortunately, as stated above, this is often an issue because many medical practitioners, and even many physical therapists, are unaware of the significance of this condition and how best to treat it. A solid physical assessment is necessary to reveal muscle imbalances and then once they are diagnosed, the proper stretching and exercise program can be prescribed to remedy the imbalance and relieve the neck pain, back pain, and sciatica associated with it. The video addresses this condition and describes what it is and why it is crucial you remedy the condition of you are to acheive neck pain, back pain, and/or sciatiac relief long term.
http://TheBadBackGuy.net The Second Factor: Muscle Weakness! The second of the 5 factors contributing to neck pain, back pain and sciatica is muscle weakness. This factor is a complex one. The spine is an important and complex system. The first of the five factors was excess weight and/or obesity and we discussed that at length. Muscle weakness, while seemingly a very simple concept, is actually quite complex, because the spine is a complex system. The musculoskeletal system, and thus the spine, is affected by muscle weakness because as muscles weaken, other components in the spinal system must compensate and do their job for them. This places extraordinary stress and pressure on the spine as a whole and on the individual components, the ligaments and tendons, the intervertebral discs or IVDs, and the vertebrae themselves. With each breakdown in the system, more pain is created. The video at my blog: http://TheBadBackGuy.com Will explain this in a more complete manner. Contact me anytime! http://TheBadBackGuy.net The Nautilus Abdominal Crunch Machine is a Dinosaur! But it is the only way to do abdominal crunches! I am not a big fan of ab crunches for neck pain, back pain, and/or sciatica relief or as an exercise strategy in general. However, the old style Nautilus Abdominal Crunch machine was and is an awesome exercise for people suffering from neck pain, back pain, and/or sciatica because it effectively isolates the abdominal muscles in a way regular crunches cannot. That being said, you can check out this video and others at: The Bad Back Guy's Neck Pain, Back Pain, and Sciatica Relief Blog http://TheBadBackGuy.com I never could have done this sort of exercise 6 months ago, or even 4 months ago! It has only been by constant and never ending improvement over time that I have been able to do the things I can now do, achieving the level of neck pain, back pain, and sciatica relief I now experience.
