Lee "Las Manos"tm Canales was born in Gilroy CA; was raised in Oakland Ca before making the move to Kingsville TX in the early 80's today he still resides in South TX (Kingsville) with his wife and Daughter Katelyn Emily.
"Las Manos"tm started playing percussion at the age of 9,Today he is still playing with Latin percussion being his specialty.

"Las Manos"tm had many influences which are as follows; Pete Escovedo and his Orchestra,Coke Escovedo whom played with Carlos Santana,The late Tito Puente,Eddie Palmeti,Bill Summers,but his biggest influence was Ms Shelia Escovedo whom also taught him to play. She is better known as Shelia E.
In the Tejano Music Industry "Las Manos"tm has played and laid down tracks with Pio Trevino Y Grupo Magic,Los Vidals now known as Grupo Vidal,a few Club bands,auditioned and did a sit in with Tower of Power and Pete Escovedo and his Orchestra at the age of 18, while residence in the San Fransico Bay Area. Most recently He has plated with Eric"El Chavalon"Flores (Former Member of the Kumbia Kings),Southern Soul,Ruben Ramos better known as El gato Negro,Jesse Marroquin,Sesi Y Grupo Kaldo and BMF.
"Las Manos"tm has recored at Joey Records,Hacienda Records,Melody ranch Studios and Oro records,just to name a few.He has also made appearances on the Domingo Show,Rojelio Show,johnny Canales Show and was an Extra in Cheech and Chongs Movie "Things are Tough all over".
"Las Manos"tm goal is to make a full"Comeback" after leaving the music industry to help raise his only Daughter back in the late 90's and early 2000's
