Attorney Leslie Isaiah Gaines made history in 1977 when his law firm Gaines and Gaines became the first law firm in America to advertise on T.V. Gaines earned his reputation by trying and winning countless homicide and other high profile cases. He served two terms as chairmen of The Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers Criminal Law Division and lectured on Winning Trial Techniques in Boston, Mass. Kansas City, Mo. and San Diego, Ca. He has appeared as an expert commentator on court T.V. in New York City, has discussed the State of Justice in America on CBS Nightwatch in Washington DC. He appeared as a guest at the ABC studios in New York City with noted attorneys F. Lee Bailey, Jerry Spence and the legendary Attorney Melvin Belli.

Musically Judge Leslie Isaiah Gaines aka" (Affectionately Known As) "The Godfather of Justice" recorded 'Reaganomic Blues' in 1982 which was nominated by The Memphis Blues Foundation as record of the year and single of the year. (see Jet Magazine November 29, 1982) Also in 1988 Gaines recorded and release the 'Jesse Jackson Blues' ('Jesse didn't get no justice') and 'The Check Bouncing CONgressman Blues'. In 1991 Gaines recorded and released the 'The Rodney King Injustice Blues'. Gaines a retired judge and renowned defense attorney for over 35 years, records on his own label. His recent effort the"Obama-BillHary-Drama" CD was recorded at MAXX TRAXX studio in Cincinnati Ohio. This Rally Song and Spoken Word Poem has been released with the timely 'Obama Drama' which reflects on the injection of race by the Clintons in this years presidential race.

In the '80s Judge Gaines of Cincinnati, Ohio began The "Sign Up or Shut Up" voting registration drive followed by the "Show Up or Shut Up" voting drive. Gaines a long time community activist hopes to again inspire voters to take a stand in the election process. Judge Gaines feels called to action to remind American voters of our past fighting, suffering and dying for the right to vote. He wants this current drive to serve as a reminder to people of all political affiliations to remember our hard-won victory for voting rights under America's constitution.
