Here at Maharishi University of Management, we realize that the teacher teaches, and the student learns. If the purpose of higher education is learning, then it should start with the student.
That's what Consciousness-Based education does: it starts with the student. Specifically:
All our students and faculty practice the Transcendental Meditation technique so that ...they're growing in creativity, intelligence, and awareness every day.
Our students take one course at a time, so they can go deep into the subject and not be stressed with juggling several courses at once.
We incorporate active learning into all classes -- discussion, reading, writing, field trips, small group activities.
Every subject, in every class, is put in the context of the whole discipline so you know how it relates to everything else you've been learning.
Our 272-acre campus in Fairfield, Iowa, has strong commitments to sustainability and world peace.
