This narrated video consists of photos that were taken by my wife and I over the past five years when visiting Oaxaca, Mexico. We love the city and strongly suggest staying at our favorite B&B -- La Casa de Mis Recuerdos -- in the heart of Oaxaca, City. The B&B is top-rated at Trip Advisor. The video, also, describes Nora Valencia's authentic cooking class, Alma de mi Tierra, another top-rated attraction at Trip Advisor. Hopefully, this video produced by real travelers, versus wading through the promotional materials that are found Online, will help somebody plan a trip to Oaxaca and La Casa de Mis Recuerdos.

For the past five years, in the winter, my wife and I have been visiting Oaxaca in Mexico. We love Oaxaca and really appreciate the new friends we have made at La Casa de Mis Recuerdos. Mis Recuerdos is one fantastic bed and breakfast. My wife has wanted me to put together a narrated slide-show. This video is that effort. I think it demonstrates why we keep going back to Oaxaca. I hope you enjoy the video and I really encourage you to visit Oaxaca. If you are interested in cooking classes, Nora Valencia's class "Alma di me Tierra" is a "must do" experience. The course is described near the end of the video. As far as sightseeing, you have to go to Monte Alban, Mitla and Yagul.

This slide show is narrated by Steven L. Smith of King of the House Home Inspection. Smith explains that there are many myths and misconceptions as to the fire-resistance requirements between a home and an attached garage. Often, the separation between a dwelling and the garage is, incorrectly so, referred to as a "firewall." In fact, in residential construction, safety guidelines do not require a firewall between a garage and the house. Most jurisdictions require "limited fire-resistance". Guidelines may vary between jurisdictions, so inquire with local building officials to find out more about the requirements for your community. Smith is Washington state licensed home inspector, #207 and a member of the WA state home inspector licensing advisory board.

Washingtonians, like me. have a fondness for the song "Louie Louie". For years, ever since when I was a kid, there has been talk of turning it into the official Washington state song. As a salute to the role the song plays in the northwest, I have included it at the front of this video on the topic of anobiid beetles. This wood-boring beetle, a wood destroying insect, is a major concern in this region. If you are buying or selling a home, trust your home inspection to Steven L. Smith of King of the House Home Inspection in Bellingham, WA. WA licensed home inspector #207, licensed structural pest inspector. Email: kingofthehousecomcast.net or call 360-676-6908.
