One of the worlds most challenging offshore powerboat races. 170 nautical miles from Cowes, Isle of Wight, to Torquay and back. Through treacherous waters in the English Channel, filmed from the best vantage point - Portland Bill. This year's race was won by the Italian entry Cinzano. Round the world yachtsman Sir Robin Knox Johnston was navigator in Scorpion 14 driven by Shelley Jory. This spectacular race has been going for nearly 50 years (1960)
