Dioxtreme has been creating Anime Music Videos for his friends and all anime fans since the 1980s.
Starting with my fathers super Beta Max and a handful of television animation, not to mention a few original badly dubbed anime movies, and throw in a audio cassette player for the music and you had some very low budget AMVs. Ever since I was younger Ive always loved an ...imation I even went as far as going to school for it. My original goals with the AMVs were just to blend in some of my favorite scenes from my animation collection with some of my music that I liked. Making the videos were also a way to show some of my friends some of the kick-ass content in American animation as well as Japanimation (Anime) that was hard to find at the time.
Unlike most of the AMV creators I didnt have a high powered school computer and all the other fancy editing until 2001 I didnt have a program for my computer and now I try my best to keep up. My first few attempts with the AMVs were just throwing in some of the animation with music. As I progressed I started to get lucky when the beats of the music would match the animation. Eventually I started to theme my videos and mapping them out.
