This is a piece by composer Dean De Benedictis (otherwise known as alias Surface 10) from his CD entitled A Cambient Variations. All of the sound and instrumentation for this CD was made from the human voice and mouth alone. Dean mimics rhythmic instruments as well as unconventional ones, and then adds effects processing in the post production. In this piece, "Universal Winter," Dean focuses more on just drones and textures, while other A Cambient pieces resemble beat-driven genres. For more information, visit www.fatelessmusic****

This is a portion of a performance that was given by electronic musicians Dean De Benedictis and Vic Hennegan, on radio Star's End - WXPN in Philadelphia, hours after they had performed live in a cathedral at the University of Philadelphia for concert series: The Gathering. The imagery is comprised of a portion of video art that was projected on a large screen behind the performers during each of their sets. These graphics were created by Dean De Benedictis himself, who is also a photographer, graphic artist and indie film maker. Fans of Surface 10: most of these pieces will eventually be for purchase (as a superior quality) on DVD.
