    Music streaming leader Pandora is working on a revamp of its service that will include multiple upgrades. Users will notice improvements in design, search, control features, music information, the music feed, and profiles. As Tom Conrad, the CTO and Head of Product at Pandora, explained, all these enhancements work together to create a social network within the service as well. He told us that users could expect a fast, social, and easy experience with the “New Pandora.” At this point, the new site is only available to paid users, but it will be rolling out to all users over the next few weeks.

    Bing recently released a new feature to its search engine called Adaptive Search. This new technology is based on a user’s search history and is designed to make search results more personal. Stefan Weitz, a director with Bing, told us that personalized search and search should not actually be classified separately. He believes that personalized search should be how search is thought of moving forward. He went on to say that Bing thinks this feature will continue to improve the overall user experience. In fact, it’s even been declared dead by some including Dan Reimold, the Assistant Professor of Journalism at the University of Tampa. As he explained to WebProNews, Google+ hasn’t offered him anything that he wasn’t already getting from Facebook, Twitter, blogs, and other sources. He said he actually became “bored” with the service. After publicizing his opinions, Reimold told us that many others have expressed the same feelings. He said the future of the service would really be dependent upon how many users were actively using it in 6 months.
