Ylotana is a multicultural, multimedia music group that utilizes sight as well as sound.

Combining a number of composers, visual artists and writers, Ylotana has created five separate projects that have their own individual theme. Though each project stands alone, they can also combine to encompass Ylotana’s overall vision, which is to bring the multimedia exp ...erience to the artistic world.

Ylotana’s five projects, namely “I AM YOU”, “Micro MIR”, “DANCE FOR THE SNOW QUEEN”, “MY LITTLE GOD” and “PANIC IN PARADISE” were concepts designed by Ylotana founder, Anatoly Podkopov. A one time business man turned musician, Podkopov envisioned combining artistic voices in such a way where they would compliment one another.

He also hoped that one would walk away from the project having been both entertained and spiritually enlightened.

Although the music and artwork is the band’s primary focus, the writing itself embodies the central mission of Ylotana, which it to make partakers think as well as have fun.

For instance, the story PANIC IN PARADISE explores the numerous inventions mankind has made that were both beneficial and grotesque. A close examination of these ideals helps us take a realistic look at humanity and where we are headed.

But Ylotana’s broad mission also includes music and illustration so the stories are but one component of the vision.

Most of the music is crafted between Ylotana’s two recording studios in London and Moscow and is comprised of several elements. One could say there is a world music vibe to the style that has a greater edginess. The electro-dance fusion is accompanied by drawing, paintings, etchings and graphic comic art that help tell the story as well.

There are several artistic styles employed and each one is used to enhance an individual projects. For instance, one particular storyline may utilize comic book art while another could require a more contemporary representation.

Though diverse in style, Ylotana strives to keep cohesiveness to the underlying message of cerebral entertainment.

Ylotana’s multicultural origin lends to its unique style and is what makes the project so different. Men and women from various backgrounds and areas of the world have contributed their talents and voice helping the music and message evolve and grow.
