Lets see these games back in the playground...Over 50s from equal arts Cultural carers and local school children from Cademon Community primary School undertook workshops together in the ancient art of Cats Cradle while working also on a poem about the game. They were then filmed doing an improptu performance of the game at the bandstand in Saltwell Park Gateshead. The project was funded by comic relief
This work is a kind of poetry film..we take the game paper scissors stone and replace the words with our own words. We made this with local people in Byker. I am sure that we can all think of combinations, and it would be great to hear these..so let me know Distributed by Tubemogul.
Wow those arts cuts are really bitting and we couldn't afford instruments for everyone..No, really, just wanted to play around with the way people make music, and to come up with a concept that would allow nonplayers to get involved. I worked with composer Andy Jackson and sound engineer Chris Prosho and cameraman Magnus of MeerKat films. We also had the support of the University of Northumbria and Orange RockCorps on it. Left in allot of stuff I would normally cut out as it is all a bit of an experiment. I hope people get something out of watching it. Distributed by Tubemogul.

A short film made with people of Gateshead. Dance steps were put outside the old town hall, then people invitied individually to go through the steps forwards and backwards. The individuals were then superimposed with each other to give the apperance that they are couple dancing rather than individuals. At no time does anyone in real life dance with anyone
