George W. Bush has vetoed a $35 billion dollars bill that would fund healthcare costs for 10 million of America's needy children over the next 5 years. Although the bill has very strong support on both sides of the aisle, the president vetoed it anyway making me conclude he did so only to apease the ultra conservatives from his party. While spending over $200 billion dollars annually on wars and foreign financial aid to corrupt countries like Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine (which is not a country yet), and Israel, the US comes short of funding much needed programs here in the US so American children be able to live the American Dream. Children are our future. They are the ones that will carry our legacy further in the future. What kind of legacy do we want?...
