Welcome Boomers! I know it's an old observation, but I'm still shocked at the price of popcorn at the movies today. But the prices aren't the only thing that's changed. Movie theatres used to be ornate palaces, now they're big boxes in minimalls, full of people yapping on their cellphones and eating disgusting nacho cheese. Anyway, I think I've had it, have you? Stay tuned this week for Part 2, where I take a look at one of the big holiday movies of the year. And remember, you can see all episodes of The Boomer File in HD at http://www.boomerfile.tv

Boomers, there's a recession going on, and while many may be suffering, there are some great deals to be had out there. For example, a Dodge dealership in Florida offered a special buy one get one free deal. Not for shoes or sweaters, but for pickup trucks. It blows my mind. Anyway, I wish other big purchases went 2 for 1. But you know, as my mother (and maybe yours) always said... nothing is ever really free. Boomers, it's Bird Day again! Today we flip the bird to Sean Avery for making crude comments about his ex girlfriends, and further flip the bird to the whole NHL for suspending him while there is so much worse going on in the world of hockey. What do you think Boomers? Is there anyone you'd like us to flip the bird to next? Let us know! And remember, you can view all episodes of The Boomer File in HD at http://www.boomerfile.tv

Boomers, I'm sure a lot of you have BlackBerries, and I'm sure that like me, you love the voice dialing feature. Well, I used to love it anyway. Recently it's been giving me a bit of trouble. Take a look and let me know if this ever happens to you. And remember, you can see all episodes of The Boomer File in HD at http://www.boomerfile.tv

Boomers, I went to see Bob Dylan a little while ago in Kingston Ontario. It was strange to see him in such a small venue, but he still played his best. At least, I think he did; his lyrics were mumbled and I got a bit of a contact high from the tokers in the audience. You know, I missed Dylan's success in the 60s, but now I'm discovering him all for myself. But why would he play Kingston? Well, I've got some ideas. Let me know what you think. Hello Boomers. As you may know, I'm obsessed with television pundits. I can't get enough of their screaming fights. Grown adults acting like children over politics, I eat it up. My favourite thing is when one of them is making their point, the opposing pundit is often laughing derisively. I love it. I've put together a little video to demonstrate. Enjoy. Boomers, one random bit of information stuck with me through all the election fever: Apparently Al Qaeda has a Public Relations spokesperson. I found that strange and got to thinking - what if terrorist groups sponsored things like sporting events, and held bake sales to raise capital. Turns out these groups are run just like corporations... anyway, it all struck me as a bit odd, so i decided to explore the idea through today's Boomer File. Enjoy. Boomers, watching the election results come in a week ago, I was on the edge of my seat. When the winner was announced, my heart soared and I couldn't help but remember the long road it's been to get to this point. Take a look.

Well Boomers, it's done. Congratulations America, you've made history and put an end to the appalling administration of the last 8 years. We don't have to look at Cheney's scowl, or deal with the spectre of President Sarah Palin (for at least 4 years). This week Barack Obama is beginning the transition, and met with top intelligence officials for a security briefing. Here's some of the state secrets he was told. Boomers, I just want this election to be over, and I'm sure most of you agree with me. But there's one thing that still gets me: the huge number of voters who are still undecided. How can you be undecided at such a turning point in history? The candidates are remarkably different, is it so much to ask that you have a preference one way or the other? Well, I tracked one undecided voter down, let's talk to him and see if we can't get inside the undecided mindset. Boomers, have you ever been thrown out of anywhere? A bar, a fancy restaurant, the Supreme Court? I got thrown out of the Best Western in Simcoe Ontario a while ago, and to be honest, I'm still not over it. So I'm flipping the bird to those that flipped me out on my ass for no good reason. Take a look Boomers, it's a bit long, but it's worth it. Do you have any stories like this? Remember, you can check out all episodes of The Boomer File in HD at http://www.boomerfile.tv

Boomers, did you watch Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live last week? I bet you did, because the ratings were through the roof. I don't really understand what her appearance did for the McCain campaign, but it did get me thinking about what other television appearances political candidates could make. Here are some of my ideas, do you have any to share? And remember, you can check out all episodes of The Boomer File in HD at http://www.boomerfile.tv

Andy Warhol said that everyone in the world will eventually get their 15 minutes of fame. If that's true I'm still waiting for mine. But seriously, during this election season we've seen far too many people get their 15 minutes. If I never hear another word about Joe the Plumber I can die a happy man, and that's not even including the inevitable fading of a certain Ms. Sarah Palin. Boomers, we have our first question from the audience! Rolo789 wants to know why his parents and their friends are such bad dressers. Have you noticed this? Are your parents fashion challenged? Why do you think that is? I think over the years, all the charitable donations, rummage sales, and clothing swaps have left them with only the few items that no one else would want. They can't afford new clothes, and their fashion sense is stuck in decades past. What do you think Boomers? And do you have any topics you'd like us to tackle here on the Boomer File! http://www.boomerfile.tv

Baby Boomers, I've been thinking. Most of us are getting close to retirement. It would be nice to sit on a beach forever, but don't you think we should use our golden years to make a positive impact on the world? There are millions of people suffering around the world, and we sit around discussing our latest gadget. There's so much more we could be doing. We changed the world with the sexual revolution, but lets try to outdo ourselves by launching a new, give back revolution.
