Alice in Wonderland became Alice in Hairland as hot runway models dressed in high fashion with incredible hairstyles done by the J Salon team. The Queen of Hearts was designed by hair stylist Ann Hughes. Choreographed, the models danced to themed music as they portrayed the White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter, Alice in Wonderland, the Bumble Bees, playing cards, the Cheshire Cat and the Hookah Smokin' Caterpillar.
First-time competitor Ann Hughes of J Salon in Glendale was hoping to outshine everyone there ... and she did! Next stop is Nationals in December 2012 in Las Vegas. Top Salons compete down the runway for the title of Supreme Salon. Team members from J Salon including owner stylists Julian Luna and Jim Le put in days of labor, but it paid off big time. Hughes is thrilled her dream is becoming a reality.
Host Ben Mollin, finalist of BRAVO's Shear Genius claims "winner bragging rights" are huge. He added "It is awesome that a first time competitor like J Salon won!"
Mollin went on to explain the competition.
"The Supreme Salon Tour travels through Scottsdale, Las Vegas, Chicago, and Calgary, Canada searching for top salons that display superb creativity and style within their region," Mollin. "The top three salons will advance to Las Vegas for the chance to win the Supreme Salon title and a cash prize. If the J Salon team is one of the three winners in Scottsdale they would move onto the Worlds."
See you for The Supreme Salon Competition in Las Vegas, baby!
