Royal Clayton's, located in the middle of downtown L.A.'s up-and-coming Industrial Art's District. Royal Clayton's is a British Gastro Pub that offers delicious food and a comfortable atmosphere. Owners Tony Gower formerly of "The Derby" and Elizabeth Peterson, formerly of "The Hollywood Athletic Club", saw the possibilities within this converted factory space. Peterson and Gower have bravely revitalized this pocket of downtown Los Angeles, by bringing their vision to life, giving locals and visitors alike a great pub with fantastic food since opening in 2006. When you walk into the Royal Clayton's, you are immediately struck by the juxtaposed beauty of this gritty yet glamorous pub with a crowd to match. Part of the pub's allure is its stunningly raw, original 19th Century Architectural form and decor. Cement floors and gutted ceilings are set off by an 11ft tall Gothic Mirror and 200 year-old doors that create a textured canvas for the Tudor Era paintings that adorn the bar like a crown jewel. Where else can you go and have a pint with King Henry VIII? The lounge is a great place to hang out with friends, watch a live game one of our two plasma screens or play a few rounds of pool on us; ours is the only free pool table in downtown. The Blue Star was opened in September 2004 by Kash Brouillet and Patricia Ridgway. The Blue Star offers great food, using the freshest available ingredients. We use only smaller and local vendors whenever possible. This assures we can maintain the highest quality standard in our dishes. We make all of our dressing and sauces in house, hand form our beef patties and we even make out veggie burgers by hand, daily. Please stop in and see us for breakfast or lunch, or you can always call us for a take out oder using the menu on our website. Either way, we look forward to seeing you again soon!
