Hi... this is Teena, do I ever know what it's like to have one bad hair day after another and to pretty much give up all hope of having hair that would make me feel beautiful all the time.

You see, I have dark hair that has a mind of its own. For example, I vividly remember hopping on a plane at O'Hare airport in Chicago several years ago on a cold winter day.

I ... stepped off the plane in Australia and walked into a wall of 110 degree heat and humidity.

During my entire two week stay there my hair was horribly out of control and frizzy, no matter how much hair care product I used.

While out for a walk one day a young man shouted to me, "Hey lady, use some gel!" I laughed on the outside but almost cried on the inside as I wondered if I would ever have beautiful hair that turned heads for the right reasons.
