SPOKANE -- Hail that one witness says was big enough to dent a car fell in Spokane County as a brief thunderstorm rolled through the area, flooding streets and basements.
In addition to heavy rain, National Weather Service meteorologist Steve Bodnar says his agency got lots of reports of penny-sized and marble-sized hail at least an inch deep Wednesday night. One man told the Weather Service he drove through hail big enough to dent his vehicle.
