This is a short film we made a few months back about Dodge and Wyatt. I saw their YouTube video and was inspired to show how these gremmies took barrel riding to their street. This summer it seems everybody is getting blue tarp barrels from Christian surfers to Big Wave Surfers in Santa Cruz. Look for the Blue Tarp surfing demos and the full version of this short during this summer’s “Get Stoked Filmed and Edited by Cyrus Sutton A Peel short for Korduroy.tv korduroy.tv Music by the Blank Tapes playwhitenoise.com Distributed by Tubemogul.

Ryan tests out his 12ft alaia at Cardiff Reef, CA. Because of a slight warp in the board's tail flanges it will only go right (left attempts resulted in the board bucking out the back of the wave). Nevertheless he get some nice rides- check out the flex the board exhibits while trimming. Distributed by Tubemogul.

While more expensive and time consuming than your average bar of wax, here's an option for all you ultra-environmentally conscious surfers out there. Made from nothing but bee's wax, coconut oil and tree resin, this wax works well in all water conditions if you play around with the ingredient ratios. Feel free to post comments if you've tried your own batch, if you've found alternate ingredients or specific ratios for different water temps. Distributed by Tubemogul.

Captured during a boat trip on a remote island in the Indonesian archipelago, these kids were using old pieces of their homes to ride the inside waves in front of their small village. When we arrived twenty or so of the kids ran out to the reef and held out their boards. Some waved them in the air and while others held them to their chest and played air guitar on them. All of their boards were similar; some were made with doors, some with parts of walls and others with pieces of wood that looked to be sculpted just for the purpose of surfing. From shore it looked like they had no electricity or running water, just simple huts with wood sidings and thatched-roofs. The break in front was a flawless right-hand barrel peeling nearshore on a smooth reef. According to the crew the wave had only been discovered a couple months prior and the kids were watching on shore and cheering in amazement at surfers riding across their waves. Who knows where these guys will be at in a few years... Distributed by Tubemogul.

This episode of Sea Movies was captured during one November in Central Baja during a filming session with an older, feral local surfer. The inconsistent surf and stiff offshore breeze made the surfer's rides few and far between, but the real performers of the day were the groups of pelicans gliding towards warm waters south on the wave faces that wrapped sideways toward shore.
