Soon we started advising family, friends, friends' friends and theirs, about the unique places they could stay in and visit during their travels to the various parts of India. It was exciting, and satisfying, for us to see people come back from their trips full of stories to tell about their 'new' experiences in a country they have lived in most of their lives. A single source where people could find homestays, heritage houses, rural village stays, jungle lodges and other independent non-hotel accommodations, read about them, see the photo's, view videos and make a booking. http://www.namastay.in is that idea. namastay.in has helped us organise these stays and also make some money...enough to sustain ourselves and quit our full-time jobs to do what we love doing. In return for referring people to stay at these small unique stays, the accommodation owners give us a commission.
