Acoustic cover version of David Bowie's Wild is the Wind
Acoustic cover of Heaven 17's Geisha Boys and Temple Girls from their album Penthouse and Pavement. The original is so electronic, I must admit I never considered an acoustic version until I saw the band do a version at a gig earlier this year, with Glenn Gregory playing unaccompanied. I made a mental note of the chords but had to transpose them to get somewhere closer to my vocal range.
Heard Glen Gregory playing this live a few weeks ago and it reminded me what a great song it is. Sat down and did my best to learn the chords last week - problem being it was a little too high for my voice and I couldn't be bothered to try to tranpose to another key. So if anyone is trying to follow this - I have my guitar tuned down 2 semitones.
Cover version of the All About Eve song, Martha's Harbour
Lovely little song from Sting. I stumbled upon the opening riff ages ago, but have never got any further into the song - always struggled with the B7 shape. Anyway, finally came back to it and think it works reasonably well
I do like a bit of DD - this one by special request (although it took very little persuasion). I saw a clip of Andy Taylor and Simon Le Bon doing this acoustic version, so I borrowed the approximate style and changed the chords (as usual) to better suit my range. Am C Fmaj7 D C Am You saw me standing by the wall, corner of a main street C Fmaj7 D G Am And the lights are flashing on your window sill C Fmaj7 D C Am All alone, ain't much fun, so you're looking for the thrill C Fmaj7 D G And you know just what it takes and where to go Chorus: F#m Amaj7 D C#m E F#m Don't say a prayer for me now, save it til the morning after Amaj7 D C#m E No, don't say a prayer for me now, save it til the morning after Feel the breeze deep on the inside, look you down into your well If you can, you'll see the world in all his fire Take a chance, like all dreamers can't find another way C Fmaj7 D G You don't have to dream it all, just live a day Pretty looking road I try to hold the rising flood that fill my skin Don't ask me why, I'll keep my promise, melt the ice And you wanted to dance, so I asked you to dance, but fear is in your soul Some people call it a one night stand but we can call it paradise

Thought it might be interesting to see how Little Boots sounds on the guitar - slowed things down a bit and I think it kinda works. Bit of a first -- once through, no edits and the sound synchs up to the video for a change.
Love this Green Day song - so thought I'd have a crack as the chords are relatively easy
Been a year since I last did this, so thought it was time to dust it off and see how it's improved - if at all
