I love traveling simply because I'm able to discover what else I can do and see particularly here in the Philippines. I already discovered a lot of attraction here.
Today I'm gonna take you to one of my recent discovery or should I say accidental discovery.
Have you ever went looking for gold in the waterfalls in the Philippines?
Just another awesome place to discover in the Philippines.
What I'm looking for is signs that there is gold being washed down from the hills above.
Looking For Gold in the Waterfalls in the Philippines is a lot of fun.
You can bring your friends or family that likes adventure and new discoveries because they're gonna love this.
If there is one water hazard in nature that traps gold, it would be waterfalls. So watch this video and check out how to find golds here in the Philippines.
Puerto Galera is one of the most popular tourist spot here in the Philippines because of its abundant diving sites, beautiful waterfalls, and a spectacular view everywhere you look. You’ll never get bored here.
Its just 3 hours away from Manila and around 500 pesos if you’ll take the bus. First thing you’ll notice once you arrive here is the fresh air and clean waters, pleasant people.
There are several things to do in Puerto Galera. We have all kinds of activities on land and in the water.
Come and stay with us at BADLADZ and we’ll help make recommendations on where and how to get to the above activities.
There are literally thousands of places like this to go treasure hunting in the Philippines waterfalls. Most wouldn't think of it as they're more accustomed to thinking treasure hunting only applies to diving wrecks in the ocean.
Another cool place is in the pools at the bottom of cascading waterfalls.
In this video I'm going treasure hunting in these waterfalls. While I was in the pool I seen a big hole that I wanted to go into but I didn't have a light. Will have to save that for next time.
I'm sure you'll be wondering what I'm looking for here. Well, when I find it...you will know.
These are a beautiful set of waterfalls here in Zambales. There are several instances of them with their own pools cascading down from the top of the mountains here. We only went to 1, but there was so much more that could have been explored.
You will see another line of waterfalls with this aerial view with my drone that can be seen going all the way up the hills to the top.
It was a bit of a hike getting into this one, but it's one of the most popular ones to go to in this area.
Next time I won't bring as much gear and climb all the way up to the top for some really good views down the hillside and of the ocean down at the bottom.
Go check it out! If you stay with our friends out at Mope Beach Resort, they'll show you where it's at as well as a bunch of other things to do in Zambales. :-)
I was doing some exploring when I came across this mystery.
It's no surprise to see these types of abandoned properties in the Philippines. You will see them in many different places for various reasons.
I found this one a bit unique...I mean what happened here?
I had to have a look, so I got inside the gate and I took a look inside the bar.
It really looks like somebody, a group of people were having a party...and then they just flat out vanished in the middle of the party!
There are drinks and glasses on the table, flowers in the holders...what happened?
This place has been abandoned, flat out abandoned for years.
You can also tell somebody put a lot of love into building this, the place would have been beautiful.
You will see the swimming people and the pool bar with 8 or 10 years of growth over the pool area.
You will see in the courtyard, it's just full of growth.
If you look closely into the fine dining room, you will see beautiful furniture and the table still set with plates.
What's going on....why is there nobody home?
It is no secret that the Americans are back in the Philippines and they brought a whole bunch of really cool toys.
This is a Los Angeles Class Fast Attack Nuclear Submarine that was docked in Subic Bay.
Of course it was heavily guarded and the local cops took a bit of offense to my photo and video taking. They came over to talk to me and explain the rules about taking pictures.
I managed to get on the pier and get up close to the submarine. It's about 110 meters of nuclear fast attack submarine badassery.
You can even see where they keep the tomahawk cruise missiles at.
This is Los Angeles Class Fast Attack Nuclear Submarine is about 20 years old, one of the last every built.
We take a tour down to the boom room...also known as the torpedo room and I show you where they launch the torpedos from.
What a great bunch, I really appreciated them taking the time to give me a tour. I hope you like it too.
In this video we're going to the jungle in Puerto Galera and this place is really cool and it's fun for everyone.
You can bring your bikini and take a walk through the jungle. Be sure to bring the usual suspects, all your friends and acquaintances all the fun people the you know.
You're gonna get your feet wet but it will be a great adventure.
If you don't wanna get your feet wet you can take the bus, but like any bus, you gonna watch out for traffic, but i guarantee you the scenery is awesome.
Then it’s into the water and time to adventure this Puerto Galera Tukuran Falls is way out there clean, fresh you won't believe it.
And the scenery here in the Tukuran Falls Puerto Galera is just special and of course it wouldn't be complete if we didn't have some great food to eat.
It really doesn't get much better that this so quite so cool, so beautiful way to spend the day with friends.
After lunch time for more swimming and fun fun fun, more exploring, this really takes the stress away.

The MV Alma Jane Express is a 60 ton, 32 meter steel-hulled cargo ship built in Japan in 1966. In March 2003 it was deliberately sunk off of small La Laguna Beach at 30 meters off the shore, creating the ultimate wreck diving site in Puerto Galera and to teach Nitrox courses.
Sitting upright on the sandy bottom, the Alma Jane is now host to a large variety of marine life. Be sure to scout the bottom terrain for stone fish, mantis Shrimp and hermit crabs.
Sweetlips, batfish, snapper, common jacks can be seen here also. Along the hull, you will find scorpion fish, lion fish and some nudibranch.
Occasionally you will also find octopus, cuttle fish or moray eels hiding underneath the lower curve of the hull. Diving at the bottom of the Alma Jane Wreck dive site also gives you an amazing view of silhouette of the ship, especially the bow.

Have you ever been Scuba Diving in the Manila Channel?
Within a 5 minutes’ boat ride, from BADLADZ Dive Resort on Muelle Pier, one of the nearest dive sites in Puerto Galera is called the Manila Channel.
Situated on the West side of Medio Island and separated from Boquete Island, this is one of
the busiest channels for sailors and cruisers. If you are at BADLADZ Restaurant on Muelle Pier and looking toward the ocean, you will be able to see it beyond the moorings of Puerto Galera Yacht Club This channel also serves as the main route of public transport for Motorized “Banca” coming from Batangas to Puerto Galera and vice versa.
In the shallow portion towards the white sandy beach is a great area for snorkeling. Every weekend, there are clusters of smaller “bancas” (Outrigger Boats) scattered all over the shallow reef while tugging the snorkelers on both outrigger to cover the entire reef while looking at the different fish. Manila Channel is a favorite destination for local tourists from nearby cities like Manila enjoying their weekend break from the traffic and congested environment of the cities.

We're looking for a Japanese Tabby Aircraft version of the Douglas DC3.
It's never a good sign when you're looking for an aircraft underwater.
We found it upside down on the bottom. You can see the landing gear with the tire still intact.
I estimate this was shot down in around 1944 or 1945. You will see the landing gear retracted, so you know it was en-route some where, it wasn't coming in for a landing when it was shot down.
As I go up the fuselage you will see the impact was so dramatic that it almost ripped the cockpit almost completely off the airplane. We can see the pilot seat, the controls int eh cockpit and all kinds of debris around it.
There are lots of fish life around this wreck, they're definitely enjoying it.
The engines must have been ripped off probably on impact. You can see parts of them laying near by on the ocean floor.
This is a passenger and cargo airplane. Nothing much left int here now except a bunch of fish and what looks to be some rice wine bottles.
You can see the tail wheel also in a retracted position at the back of the plain with he rubber still hanging off of it.
This is an interesting wreck to see.
When you want to travel in the Philippines, It's very important to not get ripped off when you arrive at the Manila Airport! It would definitely make your stay in the Philippines start with a bad day.
Here's a few travel tips regarding taxis:
1. Visit the 'departures' area of Manila airport to find a taxi driver
The 'arrivals' pickup area at Manila airport is filled with scammers and bad taxi drivers. (This is true with most international airports) They've got a continual stream of desperate travelers trying to decipher their Lonely Planet books and asking them for rates. The drivers know they can typically quote an insanely high price and still pick up a passenger. They will rip off any innocent-looking tourist that just recklessly jumps into any available taxi. There are many ripoff cases that happen to every tourist, the airport security are helpless in preventing them due to the sheer number of people everyday.
2. Know where you are going before getting in the taxi cab
Watch your destination and current location on Google maps and watch to make sure the taxi follows the correct route. If your taxi driver sees that you have a map, he'll be less likely to drive in circles trying to rip you off! Having Google Maps on hand is not one of the travel essentials.
3. Don't put your bag in the trunk of the car
Every day unknowing tourists put their bags in the back of unknown cabs. Their driver brings them to their final destination, and then hits the gas as soon as they hop out of the passengers seat. Their bag is gone, they have no idea where it's headed, and the police (of course) won't help at all!
BADLADZ Beach Resort had a wonderful visit from a Trailer Boat Club of the Philippines who came down to Puerto Galera from Bulacan province for a weekend of fun in the sun and relaxing at the beach resort.
Bulacan province is north of Manila Metro so it was no short journey. The group decided to come stay in Small Tabinay Beach with BADLADZ Beach Resort where they have an open bay to play in with their 4 speed boats and 8 jet skis.
When not out playing in the bay they can ensure their equipment is safe and sound anchored down right off the shore in front of BADLADZ Beach Resort.
The 31 person group enjoyed a 3 day / 2 night stay at BADLADZ where they could soak up the beautiful weather relaxing on the beach front lawn, enjoy the great food from the restaurant and play a little in the pool or the bay when they were ready for some adventure.
We always look forward to hosting groups events in Puerto Galera. Some of the different types of groups we’ve hosted are corporate retreats, associations and clubs at our BADLADZ resorts. We find most groups will come out and stay with us 3-7 days and have us organize activities, food and their meeting spaces for them.
If you would like to host a group for a few days or a week of fun in Puerto Galera, BADLADZ Resorts offer group packages in Puerto Galera that can support your needs. Please contact us to check for availability and how we can support you.

I make videos of tourist spots, things to see and things to do here in the Philippines and particularly around Puerto Galera. Now we are going out on the beach, getting our feet wet and have some fun.
There are so many spots to choose from to hang out here in Puerto Galera. So to cover it all we are going island hopping.
The destination for island hopping is the Boquete Island where the Haligi Beach is located and the San Antonio Island where you can see the Long Beach.
The beaches of these islands are very clean and have crystal clear water for everyone to enjoy. If you’re looking for a little bit more excitment, try snorkeling. There's a lot of fish here to look at.
After a swim from the beach, you can head back to BADLADZ and swim more in the pool.
So what are you waiting for, pack your bags and come visit us here in Puerto Galera Oriental Mindoro Philippines.
