DJ Short-e, a New Yorker, made the same decision his father made years earlier, he would venture away from his home on a quest for grander opportunities. In 2008, Short-e headed to Miami, FL where he has quickly become a respected name in the nightlife and TV scenes. Locals, Celebrities and Professional Athletes are often spotted on his TV show or at his events because of the feel good vibe and atmosphere he is able to create through his unique sound and style.
With continued success in the music and nightlife industries, doors to other opportunities quickly opened. Things really started to come together when he gained national exposure when T-Mobile, the cell phone giant, chose him to star in a national video campaign which highlights "A Day in the Life Of Short-e" using his Sidekick cell phone.
In 2004, DJ Short-e launched his TV show "The Short-e Show", which first aired on UPN44 and currently airs on MY33 in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale markets. You can watch the show 5 days a week (Mon-Fri) 3am (Chan. 3 or 8 on cable).
The show receives high ratings where ever it airs mainly because of the exclusive celebrity interviews and rare behind the scenes footage from the red carpet and high profile events. DJ Short-e has also worked with New York's Power 105.1FM, where he hosted various sponsored events and produced video interviews for: Kanye West, 50 Cent, Mary J. Blige, Keyshia Cole, Swizz Beats, Sean Kingston, Trey Songs, MYA, DJ Clue, Ed Lover, Cherry Martinez and more. Additionally, he founded and managed the Power 105 YouTube page which generated tens of thousands of video views and lead additional traffic to the stations official website. DJ Short-e also accepted a position with Bad Boy Records, where his efforts were quickly noticed and praised by President Harve Pier and his promotions staff. While at Bad Boy, Short-e gained the knowledge and insight on how a major label operates and markets itself and its artists on a day to day basis.
Short-e has further expanded his music outreach when he founded Hot4Eva' Records. Currently, he is in the process of producing his debut album titled "In Da Lab" which is scheduled to be released nationally 4th Quarter of 2009. His debut single is titled "Whatchu Ridin On?" and feat. Chopper Young City in the hook. DJ Short-e directed the music video for the single, which gained the attention of local media when the video advanced to the FINAL ROUND in a national online music video contest which featured celebrity judges & was sponsored by Clear Channel Radio.
From the DJ booth to the TV screen, there's nobody that does it like DJ "Short-e". The BEST has yet to come!
