Demon's Souls review. *******www.ClassicGameRoom**** Shop CGR shirts & mugs! *******www.CGRstore**** Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Demon's Souls for Playstation 3 developed by From Software and published by Atlus. Demon's Souls is an action RPG that is somewhat of the hack and slash varity. Despite this fact, the game encourages patience and planning instead of button mashing. The game has a very high difficulty level and all of the enemies do a high amount of damage and are very competent at fighting. When one dies one loses all accumulated XP and is returned to the last save point found. The game's XP is also used as currency to buy new weapons and armor. This video review features video gameplay footage of Demon's Souls for Playstation 3 and audio commentary from Classic Game Jon.

Classic Game Room reviews DEMON'S SOULS for Playstation 3! This PS3 exclusive release is one of the best games of 2009. Hack and slash your way through Boletaria with your hero. This CGR review of Demon's Souls has gameplay from Demon's Souls showing PS3 game play of Demon's Sould being played on Playstation 3. Published by Atus, Demon's Souls is immersive, complex and amazingly detailed. Demons Souls gameplay is traditional 3D brawling, hacking and slashing and rolling style game play with some awesome weapons and magic. King Allant the XII, the last king of Boletaria, searched tirelessly to expand his might. The Nexus, a great ice shrine nestled in the mountains, bestowed the power of the souls onto him, bringing prosperity to his kingdom. Still unsated, he returned again to the Nexus, where he foolishly awakened the Old One from its eternal slumber. This long forgotten evil, now wrought upon Boletaria, plunged the realm into darkness and fog. A mighty demon horde poured into the kingdom, devouring the souls of men. Champions from other realms learned of Boletaria's fate and sought to deliver the kingdom from evil; none would return from the cursed land. Called upon by a mysterious maiden in black, you go forth, the last hope for humanity in a place lost to demons and darkness...

Dark Souls review. Classic Game Room reviews DARK SOULS for Xbox 360 (also available for Playstation 3 PS3) from BanDai and the team behind Demon's Souls. Dark Souls is a challenging game from the makers of the ultra-cool Demon's Souls and features many of the same gameplay features like losing your experience (souls) when you die and giving the player the chance to reclaim them. This CGR Dark Souls video review shows gameplay from the Xbox 360 version of Dark Souls published by Ban Dai (also available for PS3) which features HD game play of combat and some of the many features in this deep JRPG action adventure. Deep tactics, intense combat and difficult end bosses provide a brutal challenge and rewarding adventure for those up to the task. Those looking for more of a casual RPG adventure with hack and slash combat or turn based combat should look elsewhere.

They suggest in the video that you "prepare to die." That's a lot to ask just to play a game, don't you think?

Destructoid's Conrad Zimmerman and Tara Long got a chance to check out Dark Souls at Namco Bandai's booth at E3 2011, and died nearly one hundred times in the span of 20 minutes. Ok - maybe not that much - but they died a lot. Stampeding skeleton rhinos, fire breathing dragons, and an insane difficulty make this follow up to Demon Souls a game fit for only the hardcore. It's shaping up to be a title that not everyone appreciates, but those that do will love it.
