Viruses are small particles of genetic material (either DNA or RNA) that are surrounded by a protein coat. Some viruses also have a fatty "envelope" covering. They are incapable of reproducing on their own. Viruses depend on the organisms they infect (hosts) for their very survival. Viruses get a bad rap, but they also perform many important functions for humans, plants, animals, and the environment. For example, some viruses protect the host against other infections. Viruses also participate in the process of evolution by transferring genes among different species. In biomedical research, scientists use viruses to insert new genes into cells.
When most people hear the word "virus," they think of disease-causing (pathogenic) viruses such as the common cold, influenza, chickenpox, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), and others. Viruses can affect many areas in the body, including the reproductive, respiratory, and gastrointestinal systems. They can also affect the liver, brain, and skin. Research reveals that that viruses are implicated in many cancers as well.

Kyan and Axel Crossley-Coe are identical twins. However, Axel suffers from serious health issues that his brother Kyan does not share. He is much shorter, has developed hearing loss, and has a deficiency of Human Growth Hormone (HGH). His mother, Kayla, has been fighting for treatment for her son, specifically Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). However, HGH injections can be very expensive, costing about ten thousand dollars per year. Axel cannot receive a subsidy because he is just barely above the maximum height, even though his need is clear.
If Axel does not receive HGH, he is likely to have health issues throughout his whole life, including greater risk of obesity, diabetes, frailty, and will suffer from increased fatigue and energy issues. Axel's story shows us how important it is for HGH therapy, especially for young people who are still in their developmental stages.

People diet for various reasons. Weight loss, lowering blood pressure, diabetes... the list goes on. But in fact, everyone's health and wellness is drastically affected by what we eat, even if we do not specifically have any major health issues. This video provides several guidelines that everyone can find beneficial. Although carbohydrates are often thought of as harmful, carbohydrates are actually the body's most immediate source of energy, and so it's important to carefully consider what carbs we consume. The body uses more energy to break down protein, and so they help burn more carbs. Look for eggs, white meat, beans, leafy greens, and milk.

Sometimes, low testosterone (Low-T) can be a difficult thing to talk or even think about, but it is not an uncommon condition, and it is certainly not hopeless. This video explains 11 of the most common symptoms of Low-T. If you are suffering from one or more of these, you may need Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). Symptoms include:
Low Libido and Testosterone
Low Testosterone Reduces Seminal Fluid Levels
Low-T Numbs Feelings of Physical Sexual Pleasure
Increased Fatigue, or Sleeping Problems
Altered Mood, or Depression
Irritability and Anger Issues (as well as high blood pressure/hypertension)

In a study underwritten by Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Doctors Paresh Dandona and Sandeep Dhindsa investigated correlations between obesity, type 2 diabetes, and testosterone deficiency. Although testosterone deficiency is most common in individuals over the age of 30 years, there are some extreme forms of what's known as Hypogonadotrophic Hypogonadism, which causes hormonal imbalance in much the same way as Low-T. Hypogonadotrophic Hypogonadism symptoms can be experienced from birth. People with type 2 diabetes start experiencing Low-T symptoms in their early 20's. This is why it is essential for everyone to become informed about hormonal imbalance, and in cases where Low-T is evident, seek medical help. Hormone Replacement Therapy, although not effective in every scenario, is a widely used treatment for Low-T and other hormonal issues.
The video also addresses several questions regarding testosterone deficiency, such as:
What is Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH), and what are Gonadotrophins?
What is Luteinizing Hormone?
What is Hypogonadism?
What is Hypogonadotrophic Hypogonadism?
Why are these Testosterone Deficiency Studies important?

Low Testosterone levels is not an uncommon thing. In the USA, approximately 9 out of 10 people suffering from low testosterone levels go untreated. That is mostly because Low-T can affect many aspects of health and wellness, and so the various symptoms are often attributed to other problems that may or may not exist. Some of the symptoms of Low-T are: loss of sex drive, weariness, trouble sleeping, obesity, and more. These issues are also sometimes attributed to aging in general, and while it is true that Low-T becomes more likely in older men, it does not mean that it has to go untreated. Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) is more accessible that ever, and more affordable. HRT treatments are varied for many health problems, but one of the primary uses is to treat hormone imbalance in adults, including testosterone supplementation. And although there are never any promises regarding HRT (every patient has different reactions, and while it is largely effective, sometimes results are not everything that was hoped for), HRT has proved to be the answer for many people. If you think you may have Low-T, contact your physician, educate yourself about HRT, and consider contacting us.

Human Growth Hormone (HGH) is widely accepted as an effective way to treat a number of health problems, especially hormonal imbalance. Research is showing that it could also have powerful healing capabilities in people suffering from injured joints. Often, an issue with healing joints is that cartilage does not regrow in the same way. Instead of the original hyaline cartilage, the body produces fibrocartilage, which can cause pain and impair movement ability. The study shows that Human Growth Hormone could encourage the body to re-produce the original hyaline cartilage, making the healing process much more complete. Of course, there is still much to be learned about HGH uses in regard to joint rehabilitation, and there are never any promises when it comes to HGH. Beware of side effects from high doses and abuse, and HGH should always be conducted under licensed U.S. doctor supervision. Beware of doctors who prescribe doses that are too high. While you should trust your doctor's experience and knowledge, you also need to be educated and informed about these practices. However, these studies do show some hope for the future of joint rehabilitation.
