In theatres May 28, 2010. The master filmmaker continues to reinvent the modern horror genre in a film that draws new battle lines between the living and the dead. A war-weary band of soldiers is lured to a remote island that promises to be the last paradise on earth, only to discover that even here, miles away from civilization, peace is shattered by the arrogance of men and the lust to kill. Told with Romero’s iconic sense of humor and keen eye for the fault-lines in contemporary culture, “…OF THE DEAD” expands and intensifies the zombie universe for which he is celebrated. With Alan Van Sprang, Kenneth Welsh, Devon Bostick, Kathleen Munroe.

Production The Lion King was originally called King of the Jungle during early stages of production. As in the case of the earlier film Bambi, animators studied real-life animals for reference, and some of the filmmakers went to Kenya to observe the natural habitat that would be shown in the film. The film's significant use of computers helped the filmmakers to present their vision in new ways. These include some shots of Pride Rock, tall green grass, the smoke from the fire, and the waterfall in the new version of "Can You Feel the Love Tonight". The most notable use of computer animation is in the "wildebeest stampede" sequence. Several distinct wildebeest characters were built in a 3D computer program, multiplied into the hundreds, cel shaded to look like drawn animation, and given randomized paths down a mountainside to simulate the real, unpredictable movement of a herd. Similar multiplication occurs in the "Be Prepared" musical number with identical marching hyenas. The Lion King was once considered a secondary project to Pocahontas, both of which were in production at the same time. Most of the Disney Feature Animation staff preferred to work on Pocahontas, believing it would be the more prestigious and successful of the two. While both films were commercial successes,The Lion King received a greater amount of positive feedback and larger grosses than Pocahontas, but both became known Disney classics. The main locations for the film, including Pride Rock and the Gorge, are modelled after Hell's Gate National Park in Kenya. This animated film was created and recorded at a studio in Los Angeles, California.

[BlackTree TV - Los Angeles] Shawn Edwards sits down with two of the hottest latin stars on the screen, Mr. Antonio Banderas and Ms. Selma Hayek to talk about their voices in the new movie "Puss In Boots", which has been #1 in the box office for 2 consecutive weeks. Long before he even met Shrek, the notorious fighter, lover and outlaw Puss in Boots (ANTONIO BANDERAS) becomes a hero when he sets off on an adventure with the tough and street smart Kitty Softpaws (SALMA HAYEK) and the mastermind Humpty Dumpty (ZACH GALIFIANAKIS) to save his town. Complicating matters along the way are the notorious outlaws Jack and Jill (BILLY BOB THORNTON and AMY SEDARIS), who will do anything to see that Puss and his band do not succeed. This is the true story of The Cat, The Myth, The Legend…and, of course, The Boots. Since his introduction to American cinema in the highly acclaimed “Mambo Kings,” ANTONIO BANDERAS (Puss in Boots) is irrefutably one of the leading international actors of his generation. He has received critical praise for his performances in film, television and theater, as well as behind the scenes as a feature film director. In 2005, he was honored with a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. His second directorial feature is the Spanish film “El Camino De Los Ingleses” (titled “Summer Rain” in the U.S.). A coming-of-age story, the film follows the first loves, lusts and obsessions of friends on vacation at the end of the 1970s. He made his directorial debut with “Crazy in Alabama,” starring his wife, Melanie Griffith. Banderas stole the show in the 2004 blockbuster animated film “Shrek 2” as the voice of Puss in Boots. He reprised this role in the widely anticipated sequel “Shrek the Third,” the ABC Christmas special “Shrek the Halls,” and the fourth installment of the franchise, “Shrek Forever After.” In 2003, Banderas earned a Tony nomination for Best Actor in a Musical for his Broadway debut in the Roundabout Theater Company production of “Nine,” a musical inspired by Fellini’s “8½.” He also received a Best Actor Drama Desk Award, Outer Critics Circle Award, Drama League Award and Theatre World Award. “Nine,” directed by David Leveaux, also starred Chita Rivera. This upcoming year, Banderas will appear in the upcoming film “Black Gold,” directed by Jean Jacques Annoud, opposite Freida Pinto, Mark Strong and Tahar Rahim. Academy Award® nominee SALMA HAYEK (Kitty Softpaws) has proven herself as a prolific actress, producer and director, in both film and television. She received an Academy Award® nomination, a Golden Globe nomination, a SAG nomination and a BAFTA nomination for Best Actress for the title role in Julie Taymor's “Frida.” Hayek recently completed filming Oliver Stone's “Savages,” with Benico del Toro, John Travolta, Uma Thurman and Blake Lively. Hayek recently wrapped French filmmaker Mathieu Demy’s “Americano”; the Spanish film “La Chispa de la Vida” from director Álex de la Iglesia; and “Here Comes the Boom,” a comedy from director Frank Coraci, in which she stars opposite Kevin James, who also wrote the film. “Here Comes the Boom” is scheduled for release in 2012. Aside from upcoming film projects, Hayek has launched her new cosmetic, skincare and haircare line this past summer, called “Nuance Salma Hayek.” The 100-item beauty line is being sold exclusively at CVS Pharmacies around the country. All items are priced below $20.00. A BlackTree Media Production Segment Journalist/Producer Shawn Edwards for more follow us on twitter BlackTreeTV log onto *******www.blacktree.tv

A dark dramatic short film from the Crestfallen Productions team telling the blackly comic tale of a film obsessed young man, his dog hating neighbour and the strange relationship that develops between them both. Combining classic indie short filmmaking with genre horror, film noir and a whole bunch of other influences this is an exciting debut from a team that had only just left university when it was shot.

Armed with pocket-sized video cameras, a tenacious band of Burmese reporters face down death to expose the repressive regime controlling their country. In 2007, after decades of self-imposed silence, Burma became headline news across the globe when peaceful Buddhist monks led a massive rebellion. More than 100,000 people took to the streets protesting a cruel dictatorship that has held the country hostage for more than 40 years. Foreign news crews were banned, the Internet was shut down, and Burma was closed to the outside world. So how did we witness these events? Enter the Democratic Voice of Burma (DVB), aka the Burma VJs. Compiled from the shaky handheld footage of the DVB, acclaimed filmmaker Anders Ostergaard's Burma VJ pulls us into the heat of the moment as the VJs themselves become the target of the Burmese government. Their tactical leader, code-named Joshua, oversees operations from a safe hiding place in Thailand. Via clandestine phone calls, Joshua dispenses his posse of video warriors, who covertly film the abuses in their country, then smuggle their footage across the border into Thailand. Joshua ships the footage to Norway, where it is broadcast back to Burma and the world via satellite. Burma VJ plays like a thriller, all the more scary because it is true.

Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky - the film based on Chris Greenhalgh's Coco & Igor - pays tribute to the life of Coco after Chanel, and as revealed in the title explores the electric relationship between the French fashion icon and the radical Russian-born composer. The two meet at the disastrous premier of Stravinsky's controversial The Rite of Spring, a performance that mesmerises Chanel, but due to a riot like reception, leaves Stravinsky inconsolable. It takes 7 years before they meet again in Paris – now Chanel is both rich and respected, whereas Stravinsky is living in exile as a penniless refugee. There is an immediate powerful attraction and she decides to shelter Stravinsky, offering him her summer villa in Garches as a sanctuary for his composing, as Chanel herself begins creating the revolutionary iconic perfume No5. Stravinsky moves in straight away, with his children and consumptive wife. And so a passionate, fiery love affair between two creative giants commence… The film stars Karl Lagerfeld's muse, a captivating Anna Mouglalis (Merci pour le Chocolate, Romanzo Criminale) as Mademoiselle Coco Chanel, and Mads Mikkelsen (After the Wedding, Casino Royale, Flame & Citron, Valhalla Rising) as an envincing Igor Stravinsky. The production of Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky has had the full support of Karl Lagerfeld and Chanel who have generously made available their archives and collections. Chanel also granted the filmmakers full access to Coco Chanel's celebrated apartment at 31, rue Cambon, Paris.
