Online streaming - Seattle Seahawks v Chicago Bears live - trueonlinetv - live Sunday Night Football The Seattle Seahawks are working hard to try and turn their season into a winning one and if QB Matt Hasslebecks 814 yards and 4 TDs have anything to say about it, they could well come out ahead if they continue to push onwards at a heavy pace. With the Chicago Bears relying heavily on QB Jay Cutler's ability to surprise the other teams' defense for 912 yards and 6 TDs the Bears look very strong this year for a shot at the Super Bowl and they will not want to add a 2nd loss this season against Seattle so they will be coming on strong. Fans and players are seething after Chicago Bears Quarterback Jay Cutler sat out most of the second half during the NFC Championship game with a “knee injury.” We quote it - because a lot of people aren’t buying it.
NFL players vented via Twitter. Former Tampa Bay Linebacker Derrick Brooks wrote...
“HEY there is no medicine for a guy with no guts and heart.”
Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew tweeted...
“All I’m saying is that he can finish the game on a hurt knee … I played the whole season with one.”
Many Bears fans felt Cutler quit when the heat was on. Some shared their anger on YouTube and burned all ties with No. 6. (Video: YouTube (Warning: explicit language))
Cutler was eventually diagnosed with a 2nd degree MCL sprain. Then the conversation shifted from injury to interest level. Amy Turek of the Huffington Post wrote...
“Still, I question Cutler's ability to demonstrate emotional leadership on a team that desperately needs offensive leadership. Whether he was able to play or not, he appeared to have mentally checked out of the game after his injury.”
Fox Sports’ Jimmy Johnson agrees sharing his view of Cutler’s leadership or lack there of.
JIMMY JOHNSON: “I think Jay Cutler can be a much better Quarterback than what he is today. Now we don’t know what his injury situation is, but I think this off-season he needs to have a radical attitude change. At times he is very surly, he’s very standoffish. I don’t think he brings out the best in his teammates.”
Former NFL player Howard Griffith explained to critics on Comcast SportsNet that’s just how he is.
Griffith: “Look at his body language, he’s not into it, he sits at the end of the bench, why is he... he’s not a leader. It’s just his personality. If you like it or not, it’s his personality. But to jump out and talk about ‘he’s soft, and he’s not tough’ is wrong.”
Now the Bears enter the offseason, and feelings towards Cutler may continue to smolder until he is back on the field next season. But what do you think? Did he quit on his team? Or was it just Jay being Jay?
