The romantic drama follows lovers Tami Oldham (Woodley) and Richard Sharp (Sam Claflin,) as their adventure of a lifetime takes a turn for the worse when they encounter one of the most catastrophic hurricanes in recorded history. In the wake of the storm, the boat is destroyed and Richard is badly injured, leaving all hope of survival on Tami’s shoulders. The real life Tami was happy to see Woodley portray her, and the actress called the moment they met, one she will never forget. The film hits theaters June 1st.
