It is currently in development by Visceral Games and will be published by Electronic Arts. Dead Space 3 takes place after the events of Dead Space 2, and is set primarily on the cold, snowy planet Tau Volantis, with a significant portion of the game focused over the planet's atmosphere. The game continues Isaac's struggle to end the Necromorph infestation. After the events of Dead Space, EarthGov captured Isaac Clarke and harvested his mind for Marker blueprints in order to revive the program in which Markers are used to provide resources and power for the human race. The Marker placed on Titan Station, the same station Isaac was being held on, resulted in another outbreak of Necromorphs. Isaac then escaped with Ellie Langford after he destroyed the Marker, resulting in Titan Station's demise. Isaac Clarke and Ellie Langford separate after the events on the Titan Station Sprawl. Isaac remains on another space station while Ellie searches on as both look for ways to end the Markers built by EarthGov. Isaac is then recruited by Captain Edward Norton and Sergeant John Carver, two men Ellie met on the planet Uxor, who claim Ellie found a planet known as Tau Volantis, where nearly 200 years ago a government base was located, but was eradicated by a Necromorph infestation, and frozen over, until someone somehow managed to stop the infestation and the Marker in its tracks. The group travels to Tau Volantis in the hopes of finding answers about Unitology and the key to finally stopping the Markers. The campaign can be played in two modes: single-player or cooperative (the second of which is only available as an online mode). Single-player mode follows the traditional gameplay experience, where the player would take control of Isaac Clarke. Referred "Drop In-Drop Out Online Co-Op", the cooperative mode, on the other hand, allows two players to play in the campaign at the same time; the first player would take control of Isaac Clarke, whereas the second player would take control of John Carver. Playing cooperatively will provide further details about the game's plot, as well as enhancing the overall gameplay experience. Characters - Isaac Clarke, Sergeant John Carver, Ellie Langford, Santos, Captain Robert Norton, Danik Necromorphs - Feeders, The Nexus, Wasters, Stalkers, Dividers, Slashers, Lurkers, Leapers, Twitchers, Pukers, Guardians, Pods, The Swarm, Infector, Nest, The Snow Beast, Unknown Regenerator Others - EarthGov, Earth Defense Force, Sovereign Colonies Armed Forces, Unitology group, The Circle Suits - Advanced Suit, Arctic Survival Suit, EVA Suit, First Contact Suit, Legionary Suit, Marauder Suit, N7 Armor, Sharpshooter Suit, Tundra Recon Suit, Witness Suit, Special Forces Suit Weapons - Evangelizer, Negotiator, Plasma Cutter, Innumerable Custom Crafted Weapons Collectibles - Alien Artifacts, S.C.A.F. "If your going to die in our game we want to make it entertaining as hell!" - Visceral Games -------------------------------- Song: "Blackout-Novadriver" #5 - If Isaac's health is critical (red), the Divider will lash out a tentacle that wraps around Isaac's neck, initiating an action sequence. If failed, Isaac will be decapitated, and stagger forward before falling to the ground. In some cases, the Divider has been seen walking up to Isaac and kneeling down next to his dead body after he has been killed in this way. If the head component jumps on Isaac and he fails the action sequence (which is highly unlikely), it will decapitate Isaac, crawl into his torso, and replace his head. Isaac will then stagger away, bellowing the Divider's original call. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- #4 - A rare but special death sequence occurs if Isaac is aiming his weapon while the Twitcher finishes off his health. The Twitcher tears off Isaac's right arm in its frenzied swinging. Isaac looks at the stump on his arm in a dazed shock, and the Twitcher suddenly swings its blades right into Isaac. It at first appears the blade swing didn't do anything, but then Isaac suddenly leans forward, and his upper torso falls off to the floor. His legs walk a few steps before also falling to the floor. The Twitcher then stares into the screen before dashing off. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ #3 - When Isaac is at critical health (yellow or lower), the Hunter will stab both of his blades through his torso, lift him up, then stab him several times. The Hunter then slices off his legs, left arm and lowers him. Isaac struggles to hold up his right arm as if pleading to the Hunter. It then cuts his head off and finally slices him in half. --------------------------------------------------------------- #2 - If Isaac's health is critical (red) and a Brute punches him, a death scene follows. Isaac is knocked onto his back from the punch and tries to crawl away. But, before he has a chance, the Brute grabs him, bites his head off, rips him in half at the waist, and throws him to the ground. It stares down at Isaac's corpse for several seconds, then lets out a roar. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- #1 - If Isaac should fail to destroy the remaining two pustules on the Hive Mind's head when grabbed, a death scene follows. It will force Isaac into its mouth then pull him out violently, ripping off both his arms. The Hive Mind then grips Isaac between its teeth then pulls him in half. It swallows Isaac's upper torso and throws his legs to the platform. This takes about thirty seconds realtime, complete with screaming and all associated gore. However, it is amusing to note that after it has consumed Isaac's upper torso, the creature shivers and makes spluttering noises, as if it didn't like his "taste."
