Puzzle Game

A genre attributed to Russian designer Alexey Pajitnov's Tetris, the puzzle genre engages players with logic tests. Sometimes it uses simple shapes in a 2D grid, like Tetris, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo, and Bejeweled; other times these games employ word challenges, like Scrabble and Brain Training; and other times it uses 3D with games such as Tetrisphere, Echochrome, and Boom Blocks.
