Results of a study conducted by an independent research firm provide new evidence that a beautiful white smile has a direct effect on successful interpersonal interactions, both socially and professionally. "The Impact of Whiter Teeth on Key First Impressions" study, commissioned by Crest Whitestrips, shows that a whiter smile substantially affects how others think of you when you first meet. According to the three part study, which included simulated job interviews, simulated first dates and a quantitative online survey; more than half of the study participants were more likely to be hired (58%) and received larger salary offers (53%) after their teeth had been whitened. The study also found that evaluators expressed a greater interest in continuing their interaction or "date" with more than half of the study participants (54%) after their teeth had been whitened. "This study provides some of the first findings that speak to the powerful benefits of having a whiter smile," says Dr. Dacher Keltner, smile psychologist and professor of psychology at the University of California at Berkeley. "Visible from 200 feet, it is the intense focus of what other people look at, and a sign of our warmth, confidence, and health." During the simulated job interviews, it was also found that a majority of the study participants were viewed to be more professional (65%) and more confident (61%) after their teeth had been whitened. And, on their simulated first dates, more than half of study participants were viewed to be more outgoing (59%) after their teeth had been whitened. The third part of the study, a quantitative online survey of 1,006 people, was consistent with the first two studies conducted, finding that individuals with whiter teeth have more positive attributes than individuals with stained teeth across the following variables: financial success, trustworthiness and professional success. Regardless of gender, age, income, education, employment or marital status, participants came to the same conclusion. Produced for Crest

A tidal wave of change has washed over Water Country USA with the water park's newest addition, "Rock 'n' Roll Island." Featuring four slides, a lazy river and a large refreshing pool themed after 1950s and '60s rock-and-roll culture, Rock 'n' Roll Island offers thrills and excitement for the whole family. A 33-foot-tall "Jammin' Juke Box" slide tower juts skyward at the far edge of the island. Three translucent body slides shoot from the top of the structure, each named after a popular rock-and-roll dance – the "Funky Chicken," the "Hully Gully" and the "Twist." The slides twist and turn for nearly 200 feet before spilling riders into a 9,000-square-foot pool. For the little ones, Rock 'n' Roll Island features a new "Little Bopper" children's slide. More than half of Rock 'n' Roll Island's pool is reserved for swimming and relaxing. Guests also can float with the current in the 700-foot-long lazy river that surrounds the island. The staff of Japanese aquarium were able to take rare pictures of a frilled shark after it was discovered by local residents at Awashima Port , southwest of Tokyo. This prehistoric shark is rarely seen alive as its natural habitat lies up to 4,200 feet deep under the sea. Experts at the Awashima Marine Park were able to examine the creature and film it swimming around. Unfortunately it died a couple of hours after it was moved to its new environment. Frilled sharks normally inhabit deep sea waters between 400 and 4,200 feet and rarely come to the surface. Frilled sharks can grow to a length of nearly 6.5 feet and eat deep-sea squids and other soft-bodied preys. Most specimens are found in the Japanese waters. 01/24/2007 All permission to duplicate/import have been obtained, i have no intention for copyright infrighment. please dont delete PERMISSION OBTAINED THANK YOU AND ENJOY PLEASE RATE IT RELLY COUNTA AND LEAVE A COMMENT TY PPL. Around 11:10 pm Saturday September 27th, 2008, Trooper 2 responded to Waldorf, Maryland. The mission was to transport two car crash victims to Prince George's Hospital Center's trauma unit. After lifting off from the scene with 3 crew members and two patients on board, the pilot contacted the tower at Andrews Air Force Base requesting assistance with an instrument landing due to weather. Two ambulances were dispatched to the airfield to meet the helicopter and complete the patient transports. The helicopter never arrived. According to National Transportation Safety Board member Debbie Hersman, between the time the helicopter left its hanger at Andrews Air Force Base and when it was back in the same area, heading to the hospital, visibility had dropped from about seven miles to four miles. In that same hour, the cloud cover, or ceiling, went from 1300 feet to as low as 200 feet in some spots. An intense search began and the helicopter was found crashed in a heavily wooded area at 2am. Killed in the crash were Pilot Stephen Bunker, Trooper/Medic First Class Mickey Lippy, EMT-B Tonya Mallard of the Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department and Ashley Younger, a 17-year-old who was the second victim from the Waldorf car accident.
