Metro 2033 review. *******www.ClassicGameRoom**** Shop CGR shirts & mugs! *******www.CGRstore**** Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Metro 2033 for the Xbox 360 developed by 4A Games and published by THQ and Deep Silver. Metro 2033 is a stealth-based first-person shooter based on a Russian novel. Players take the role of Artyom, a man who survived the nuclear apocalypse by retreating into the subway systems. That's where mankind now resides, hoping to wait out the nuclear winter and all the beasts that have occupied the surface. But surivival isn't a waiting game. Monsters burrow into the tunnels, attack survivor strongholds and make life a living hell underground. Players must have a steady aim and nerves of steel to last in the dark, nightmarish Metro. Metro 2033 incorporates survival horror elements and stealth into its gameplay, encouraging players to conserve ammunition and go unseen as often as possible. Artyom's weapons are limited, and he must also rely on his gas mask on the terrifying occasions when he has to surface. A sequel, Metro: Last Light, was released in 2013. This video review features video gameplay footage of Metro 2033 for the Xbox 360 and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.

Metro: Last Light review. *******www.ClassicGameRoom**** Shop CGR shirts & mugs! *******www.CGRstore**** Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Metro: Last Light for the PlayStation 3 developed by 4A Games and published by Deep Silver. Metro: Last Light is a stealth-based first-person shooter released in 2013. It is the follow-up to the 2010 original Metro 2033, which was originally published by THQ before their bankruptcy. Last Light picks up a year after Metro 2033 and reintroduces players to Artyom, one of the fortunate survivors of the nuclear apocalypse. Although “fortunate” may be the wrong word—mutated monsters and strange creatures now infest the Earth, putting mankind’s survival even further at risk. The survivors now live below the surface in a sprawling system of subterranean encampments built from old subway systems. Hence Metro. Last Light is centered on its gripping atmosphere and story of political intrigue, telling a story of monsters and tyrants. Sometimes, it’s hard to tell the difference. Metro: Last Light is a single-player FPS with strong stealth components. This video review features video gameplay footage of Metro: Last Light for the PlayStation 3 and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
