*READ* *WATCH IN HD* I'm personally a Mac user... I only run Windows XP in Parallels or Bootcamp if I need to. Anyways I thought I'd try out the Windows 7 RC in parallels - why not? So here is the video I made of me messing around in Windows 7. Not sped up at all, with sounds and all. In the video I show off many of the built-in features of Windows 7 such as the chess and media center. I know I forgot to give you a preview of the Windows "control panel" but it's basically the same thing as the one in Vista. As for my personal thoughts after testing Windows 7: Definitely better than I expected from Microsoft. The annoying "cancel or allow" popups from Vista seem to have been mostly remedied, and the OS itself seems pretty fast, secure, and stable (though that could be just because they don't pack the RC with lots of useless software in order to keep the .iso file size down). It installed very quickly but was a bit of a pain to customize with the new control panel, but that's where the handy Windows Search bar (completely ripped off from Mac's Spotlight) comes in. internet Explorer 8 (built in) was pretty fast as you can see in the video. Now of course this is considering my entire preview is based on Windows 7 running on a Parallels Desktop 4.0 Virtual Machine (VM) with very nice specs... I have no idea how well the OS would run on an older, less awesome PC. --------------------------- Computer Specs: MacBook Pro Aluminum 17-inch 2.93 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor 8 GB 1063 MHz DDR3 RAM 320 GB hard drive 7200 RPM 512 MB NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT graphics Mac OSX 10.5.7 VM specs: 1 CPU 2.93 GHz 4 GB of RAM 256 MB graphics 32 GB hard drive Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit Music: first song - "Beatopia" by me (made in GarageBand... try doing THAT on a PC lol) second song - "Kalimba" by Mr. Scruff (free song that comes with Windows 7) Windows 7 RC download link: http://www.microsoft.com/Windows/Windows-7/download.aspx both the 64-bit version and the 32-bit version should only take a few hours to download and they both will expire March 2010. The best part though, is that it's absolutely 100% FREE! So yeah... enjoy your sneak preview of the 64-bit version of the Windows 7 RC. PS. This is the best preview ever!!

High Quality Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnVfR5M3XPI&fmt=18 WARNING: Turn down your volume a bit! __________ PC Specs on my HP laptop: OS: Windows Vista Home Premium (64-bit) Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 2.4 GHz Memory (RAM): 4.00 GB GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-9600M-GT.9449.0.html Fraps lagged me like a bitch. __________ I'll upload more later if I don't start procrastinating.. Edit (February 10, 2009): I've decided I'm not going to be uploading any more of Left 4 Dead. Honestly, the gameplay gets pretty repetitive and you have to be a retard to get lost on a mission.

A Slower Speed of Light is a first-person game in which players navigate a 3D space while picking up orbs that reduce the speed of light in increments. A custom-built, open-source relativistic graphics engine allows the speed of light in the game to approach the player's own maximum walking speed. Visual effects of special relativity gradually become apparent to the player, increasing the challenge of gameplay. These effects, rendered in realtime to vertex accuracy, include the Doppler effect; the searchlight effect; time dilation; Lorentz transformation; and the runtime effect. A production of the MIT Game Lab. Play now for Mac and PC! http://gamelab.mit.edu/games/a-slower-speed-of-light/ A Slower Speed of Light has been tested on computers with the following minimum requirements. (A known bug will crash the game on computers with Intel graphics chipsets.) -Intel Core 2 Duo T9900 or Core i7 (2.8GHz minimum clock speed) -Windows 7 and Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) and 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) -AMD Radeon HD 6970M/AMD Mobility Radeon HD 4850/Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT -8GB RAM Source code coming soon! OpenRelativity is a set of tools for simulating the effects of traveling near the speed of light in the Unity3D game engine. The team is currently refining the documentation, usability and features in OpenRelativity, targeted for release as a free, open-source package in 2013, to allow others to produce more simulations and games about traveling near the speed of light. Check back to our official site for updates.
