ORCS: Vengeance review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of ORC: Vengeance from Big Cave Games and Chillingo for the iPhone. The developers of ORCS: Vengeance originally worked at places like Treyarch and iD Software before starting their own smaller team to make smaller games. Games like ORCS, which brings a fantastic Diablo-like experience to Apple's platforms. You play the entire game with a simple touch. Touch a spot, your orc goes there. Touch an enemy, you attack. ORCS couldn't be simpler to control, yet it also provides deep action RPG gameplay. This video review features video gameplay footage of ORCS: Vengeance for the iPhone and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
Heroes Of Ruin review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Heroes Of Ruin from n-Space and Square Enix for the Nintendo 3DS. Heroes Of Ruin is a dungeon crawling action RPG. In addition to filling a hole in the 3DS library, the game also pushes online more than any 3DS game to date. The second you load up Heroes Of Ruin, the game begs you to connect. You're given options for online, for StreetPass, for SpotPass...it's all before you even see the game's menu. And once you're there, the default option is to take your game online. There are voice chat and online statistics, as well. This video review features video gameplay footage of Heroes Of Ruin for the Nintendo 3DS and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning for PC! Developed by 38 Studios and Big Huge Games, KoA: Reckoning is a high fantasy open world action RPG. Be reborn in Amalur and play wth might, finesse, sorcery or any combination to your liking. Experience a well polished, fluid combat system unlike any action RPG to date. Explore the rich world and lure of this well crafted game and take the fate of Amalur in your own hands! This CGRundertow review features game-play and commentary from CGR's Ashton.
Too Human review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Too Human for the Xbox 360. Released in 2008, this game was developed by Silicon Knights and published by Microsoft Game Studios. It's a very weird take on Norse mythology, using a futuristic tone and a combat system that feels like a cross between Mass Effect and Devil May Cry. While all of the game's cool concepts work very well, the game's camera and control scheme keep it from being an elite title. Even so, fans of action-RPG's should have some fun with this one. This CGRundertow review features gameplay and commentary from CGR's Gabe.
Landstalker review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Landstalker from Climax Entertainment and SEGA for the SEGA Genesis. Landstalker is an isometric action RPG. You play as Nigel the Treasure Hunter as he, uh, hunts for treasure. Landstalker takes players through lots of different environments, from dark caves to busy villages and poisonous swamps. And there are freaking enemies everywhere. It's like Zelda for the Genesis. This video review features video gameplay footage of Landstalker for the SEGA Genesis and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
Technoclash Review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRUndertow review of Technoclash, developed by Blue Sky Software and published by Electronic Arts for the Genesis. A cybernetic machine race known as the Engine Men have invaded the arcane Inner Realm, and it's up to the wizard Ronaan and his cohorts to repel the attack. A top-down action RPG from EA, Technoclash is a fun and challenging use of the man versus machine literary concept. This video review features video gameplay footage of Technoclash and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Eric.
