UNICEF's Sarah Crowe reports on UNICEF's efforts to help protect Afghan girls from violence and early marriage.
An excellent story that showcases the hopes, dreams and courage of a young Afghan girl. For all those interested in Afghanistan and the issues resulting from war, occupation, lack of education and poverty this is the book for you. An excellent resource to introduce children to complex issues they may see in the news and explain them through the eyes of a young girl. This book walks a fine line by neither portraying US forces as heros or as villains but rather as individuals that try their best but still make mistakes. A very excellent book and a great fan trailer. I hope they make this book into a movie!
