This series is flat out bad ass.? The rag tag batman that we saw at the end of the last issue is actually an alter ego that Batman created in himself to defend against psychological attack.? Seriously, I mean it?s a little bit of a stretch but is it really that surprising considering who we?re talking about?? I like that they are tying in the other titles so closely, by picking up the Robin fight where his solo title left off, but what was Dr Axe doing in Archam with a Nightwing mask?? At the end of the last Nightwing, Dick was on a rooftop severely injured, did the Black glove pick him up, and if so is he the new patient that they are prepping for the lobotomy?? Here?s another question and it?s a dusie.? What if the patient is Bruce Wayne and the whole ragtag batman we?re seeing is batman battling against his own mind?? At the end he said that he was Batman without Bruce Wayne.? It?s a long shot but a definite possibility.? I can?t wait for the Batman / Joker face off next issue and for everything else that?s coming from this title. Distributed by Tubemogul.

Superboy Prime is a great villain and I’m glad he’s getting another shot. How he’s brought into the story is really funny, with him going to the Superman museum and a hologram Jimmy Olsen telling him how insignificant he was. We know that’s what really gets him riled up so the results aren’t that surprising. The parallel between Superman and his effect on the members of the Legion of Superheroes and Superboy Prime and how he inspired the Legion of Villains is really interesting. It provides the perfect home for Superboy Prime. He finally has people that acknowledge and revere him for his beliefs and want to follow him. On the flip side the legion provides the perfect object for his hatred loving everything he despises. The real payoff happens at the end of the book when the three different versions of the Legion show up, because I had gotten real into the latest version of the legion that started a few years ago and was disappointed not to see them in the beginning. They are who I am familiar with and invested in. Geoff Johns is as incredible as always and this is the final crisis tie in I am most excited about. Distributed by Tubemogul.

Moonknigt has always been a pretty badass character and they’ve done a good job with bringing him back. This month his book takes off in a new direction as he gets the Thunderbolts sent after him. If you haven’t been reading the title don’t worry the handy dandy summary conveniently placed at the beginning of each book will get you caught up to where you need to be. There is some good action here but this issue is mostly a set up of what’s to come. As a dark character going up against even darker men, there aught to be some really good action and story to follow. I’m curious as to what Tony Stark’s involvement will be because while he is hunting Moonknight, he doesn’t agree with the Thunderbolts being sent in. Norman Osborn is also intriguing. In the last Secret Invasion title he seemed to be showing some of his humanity as he helped Captain Marvel, but between this and the Spiderman book that came out this weekend old Normy seems to be embracing that darker side again and I’m wondering how far it will go. Well the Brand New Day and One Day More and next Tuesday to Come stuff is finally over and what a surprise nothing is really resolved. I can’t say that I’m that disappointed with the current direction though because the Kraven’s first hunt stuff was really good and I liked this issue as well. It’s good to have John Romita Jr back on the art but I was really getting into Phil Jimenez. I hope he comes back after a while. I just really dig the reality and fluidity of his style. Dude Norman Osborn is busy this week getting sinister in the Moonknight title and showing up back in the web slinger’s world. It will be interesting to see what he’s got in store for Spidey and it the Goblin is really back. There is also a cool little background on Eddy Brock and what he’s been up to since being diagnosed with cancer and auctioning off Venom. He seams to rally have turned around and trying to make it work but I wonder what Mr. Negative has in store for him after curing him of the disease and how Eddie will fare against what ever he has in store for him. Here’s the real question that this issue brings up. Ok so after fighting Menace, a goblin like bad guy, Pete gets some exclusive pics and for advice on how to sell them he calls his rehabilitated good friend Harry Osborne. Nothing strange in that, what is strange is where he was when he answered the phone. He was on a rooftop and with one glove off it looked like he hadn’t been there long and right after Pete had just fought Menace. Coincidence, I think not. With this and Norman back in town Spidey could be in for a whole lot of Goblin trouble to come. Distributed by Tubemogul.

It is now done, the Decepticons have officially conquered earth and are just finishing off the humans running around hiding underground. They have destroyed all methods of transportation and rendered the military helpless. There’s only one thing that can save us now, the Autobots. I love it, we’ve gone two issues straight with out even a peak at the autobots so you know they’ve got to be coming soon. This book is so good and even as the nostalgia is wearing off the writing is coming through and the book is still holding my interest. The part of this issue I found really interesting was the dynamic between Negatron and Starscream. Negatron definitely lets Starscream know where his place is but hints that he is disappointed Starscream isn’t more. Negatron says he is living the Decepticon Ideal but is merely a step away fro completely embracing it. There is a lot going on there and it will be interesting to see what comes of it. This book is great and definitely on my must read list. Distributed by Tubemogul.

This issue wasn’t that great. In fact it was a little “Days of Our Lives” meaning there wasn’t much action and it focused on the relationships within the team. Beast Boy and Raven had a little heart to heart and so did Nightwing and Starfire. The most exciting thing in this issue was Starfire climbing out of the pool. Raven’s demonic side has been unleashed by her brothers and they took her away with them so in the next issue it’s Titan’s to the rescue. You’ve got to wonder if the Titan’s will ever start to resent Raven. I know it is something that is constantly on Raven’s mind but seriously half of their adventures are dealing with Raven’s family. She is also a demon and if she shows too much of that side this time it might be too much for the team to forgive. I guess we’ll have to wait and see. Distributed by Tubemogul.

You know the Flash is such a tough character because it’s so hard to present him with a realistic threat. His ability to move as fast as he does means that he should be able to stop the crime, capture the bad guy, ad save all the bystanders before the villain can even blink. Geoff Johns has been the only writer in recent history to be able to do it well and this is not a Geoff Johns book. Alan Burnett does at least have the sense to make the challenge more about the powers themselves than the bad guys but the story is a little tired. The aging thing through the speed force. They dealt with it with Bart when he was sent back from the future, they just finished dealing with it for Wally’s kids and now Wally’s aging again. They’ve cured it before and now they’ll cure it again. I was really hoping for a good Flash story because I love the character. I’ll try the next issue just to give it a real chance but I’m not expecting much. Distributed by Tubemogul.

This book is completely pointless. There is absolutely no reason to waste your money on this book. It has no consequence on the Secret invasion title and is not even that entertaining. It follows Fury’s recruits through a little bit of training and takes them up to the time of the actual invasion of New York. Who cares? Maybe a month ago this story may have been more relevant and meaningful but not now. Don’t waste your time on this book I’m not even going to waste any more of your time on this review. This is an RIP title and part of the saga coming out of the Batman titles and I think will become the most interesting outside of the Robin book. All you there are really only three panels in this issue that you need to read. The first, because I think it is going to be important later on is the broken case in the Bat Cave and the missing Suit of Sorrows. I have to reach out to you readers out there for this because I don’t know what the Suit of Sorrows is. Let me know and maybe we can figure something out about what’s to come. The second and third is Batman’s message to the Outsiders. Finally we are seeing that Batman has a plan. Finally, I mean he’s Batman, plans are what he does. I’m really fired up to see what the plan is and the part that the Outsiders will play in the RIP saga. Distributed by Tubemogul.

This book just went from weird to ridiculous. Not only do we have ape versions of the marvel heroes, but now some of them are vampires that want to invade our universe to drink our blood. I mean come on. This book inspired the biggest groan and rolling of the eyes that I have ever experienced in reading comics. The only thing that I did like about this book is when Gibbon was talking with the ape version of Speedball and he was asking about his human self. Gibbon couldn’t bring himself to tell him about how he killed 600 kids and started the civil war and is probably the most hated hero in the Marvel U. I wonder how we would have taken it if Gibbon had told him the truth. That conversation would have been more interesting than this whole story. Distributed by Tubemogul.

He is covering the entire city, taking on the gangs and trying to find Batman. Fabian Nicieza is really doing a good job of capturing the essence of the Robin character. It’s been a long time since anyone has but he really gets this character. The best part of the book was when Robin and Nightwing crossed paths in the Bat Cave and Tim was like need help with the two face thing and Dick says nope need help with the gangs and Tim said nope. It showed continuity as well as how much Tim has grown in that he can handle the city by himself. I still haven’t figured out what Stephanie’s role is in all of this and why she wants Tim dead, if that really is Stephanie in the Spoiler costume. If she is dead again I’m going to be really disappointed. RIP is a great story and I love what it is doing to the members of the Bat family. This is a great title and you are missing out if you are not reading this book. Distributed by Tubemogul.
