One of the Astronauts Sneaks off the Fake Moon-Set for a Food Snack and Water. When he Gets Back on the Moon-Set, Both Astronauts Talk About Seeing the Stagehands in the Ceiling Holding Hoses(Wire Supports for the Astronauts) as the Astronauts go Around the Lunar Module. The first Astronaut says at :26 "They say Gene's(other Astronaut) little pitch-out(breaks off the Moon-Set) makes these days slide-out by themselves almost", Houston replies at :34 "Better thank him, next time you see him." When Gene(John) the second Astronaut returns back on the Fake Moon-Set he says at :52 "Hey Jack you notice there's none of those guys up there holding those hoses(wires) as we go around the LEM?" The first Astronaut Jack replies at :57 "What do you mean, I saw one just a minute ago." The second Astronaut Gene(John) says at 1:33 "Just took time out for a, for a snack and a little water". The First Astronaut Jack tells him off in a disapproving tone "John!" while everyone at Houston in the background is heard laughing. The Apollo 14 Astronaut says that what they are doing is all a "Simulation". Apollo 14- Astronaut's Ceiling Cable Supports Get Tangled Up In The Communications Antenna -The Ceiling Stagehands Frantically Help To Fix It. The two Astronauts set up the large communications antenna, however an Astronaut gets his ceiling support wire cables caught up in the antenna. The other Astronaut and the ceiling stagehands frantically help untangle the support cables. After the Astronaut has just flipped back upright the just opened antenna, he says, "All kinds of freebies (Help) in today's Simulation". The astronaut is referring to the hidden wire men helping from high above in the darkened studio ceiling to untangle his support wire cables. Houstons reply confirms the hidden wire men frantically helping out the Astronaut, "Roger, we've got the boys in the back room working overtime". The Astronauts laugh, then one says "Sure have!" The Hidden Hole is Used For Breathing, in the Fake Moon-Set Studio Simulation. Tony the CapCom at Houston See's What The Astronaut Did According to The predetermined Acting Script, And Jokingly Says as a Follow-up Cue "Blow on it". The Astronaut says at :13 "Wait a minute, I've got the most beautiful thing here, I've got to pick this up before I lose it." At :37 you see and hear the Astronaut blow on the rock through the hidden breathing hole in his helmet. Tony at Houston Jokingly says at :40 "Blow on it" and he says it again at :45 "Blow on it". At :02 the Lunar Module is seen ascending from inside the LM. The LM shadow is seen coming into view, however it strangely starts rising quite fast off into the top horizon. At :07 the LM base remains is seen on the ground, the LM bases shadow is not very long at all, the rising LM shadow should actually be closely directly unneath it as the LM rises, not shooting off so very quickly into the top horizon. Then from :10 onwards the top horizon is panned up too, no trace of the fast moving LM shadow is seen at all. While supposedly taking photos with jammed film in the long camera, the Astronaut says he sees up in a Mountain of the Fake Moon Bay Studio, a Silver Spur (Exposed Metal Beams) and a Box shape (Square Hole). Astronaut Dave says from :03 "Except that it's so much up-Sun Jim, I'm not sure were going to get anything in em." Astronaut Dave says at :47 "I took about 4 more pictures on the 500 Joe, looking out the, the Silver Spur(Exposed Metal Beams) and ah, the Box (Square Shaped Hole) that are exposed up there(in the Constructed Fake Mountain)." Astronaut Charlie waits till the tension pull returns, then he moves again. Astronaut John says the wire harness that he has on, has saved his life, when he has been moving around in the Fake Moon-Set Studio. While Astronaut Charlie reaches for the top of his backpack, He tells the ceiling stagehands to fix the pull on his wire harness at :08 Want ta, want ta pull on my twist ok,....Harness." Astronaut John replies "Better believe it, that saved my life." After the ceiling wire harness pull returns to normal and Astronaut Charlie can move again, he says at :28 "I'm glad we didn't have an emergency,......quick release pin". Astronaut Charlie says to Houston at 1:11 "Is Stu around?". Tony at Houston replies "Yea he's right here". The ceiling wires lifting the Lunar Module, suddenly stop and jerk the Lunar Module to the right, then continue up slowly. The FL(Fake Lift-off) stagehand says from :08 "Flight-FL, if it puts you down, the ah LEM(Lunar Module's Explosive) charges are still cleared for the orbit, we've got ta finish to establish the timers, ok." Flight replies "Ok". At :40 the special effects explosive charges on rigged set timers, are heard detonating(even though in a vacuum, as on the Moon, no noise should be heard), pieces of the Lunar Module are seen exploding straight upwards and outwards. Without exhaust smoke or a flame, the top part of the Lunar Module is lifted up by hidden wires from the ceiling in the Fake Moon-Set Studio Bay. However as seen at :41 the ceiling wires lift stops and pulls the Lunar Module to the right then continues up slowly until out of view of the camera at :45 The Astronaut in the Lunar Module is heard asking at :50 "What? In the Fake Moon-Set-Studio Bay, when the Astronauts went inside the Fake Lunar Module Stage-Prop, the over-head support wires from the ceiling were not able to take all the heavy weight of the Astronauts spacesuits and backpack for them. The Astronauts had to Hook themselves onto a roof attachment inside the Fake Stage-Prop Lunar Module, so all of their extra weight was supported for them, so they were able to stand. The Astronauts were only pretending to be on the Moon, and were not actually in the lighter weight of one-sixth gravity. The Astronauts were only able to leap and jump around in their heavy spacesuits and backpack, with the aid of over-head wire attachment supports from the ceiling. Astronaut John says at :31 "Charlie why don't you let me get them, let me clean you off, you go up in there(Inside the Fake Lunar Module Stage-Prop) Hook-on and let me just carry those things upstairs." Astronaut Charlie tries to cover up what John said by saying at :37 "Hook-on to what? Astronaut John replies, "Hook-on to the up, upstairs." The Astronauts could only move around in specific places that were covered by the overhead wire-rigging system that they were attached too. If they began to move outside of the overhead wire rigging systems reach, then it became dangerous for them to try and move around. Astronaut Charlie gets pinned against a rock, because the overhead pull of the cable wires was on a tight angle in the location they were in, the location was not covered by the overhead rigging system properly. Tony at Houston says at :01 "OK if you go out South ah, be a little careful on that (Overhead)cable, it a, be pulling at 90% then." Astronaut John replies at :10 "OK well I think I'll go out before ah, I'll go out South um,.......about East, South/East,........It's Also Starting To Get Tiresome."(Astronaut John says it was getting quite tiresome to be careful about where they walked too, the Astronauts had to be careful to only go where the overhead cable wire-supports reach could cover supporting them safely) Astronaut Charlie says at :41 "Help, John I'm trapped." Astronaut John replies "What do ya need?" Astronaut Charlie replies "I'm, I'm against this rock, .....can't get up, I didn't, I didn't want ta fall down, now I've got it, yes there ya go, I'm sorry,....give me a hand." As the Astronaut turns the flag back and forth, the flag bends and folds as it hits pockets of air in the Fake Moon-Set Studio Bay. The real Moon is a vacuum, its space has no atmosphere, therefore a flag with an overhead support bar to extend it out flat, would keep the extended flag flat, as it turns back and forth when being put deeper into the ground. In this Fake Moon-Set scene, the stagehands should have prepared hidden solid wires all around the ends of the flags material, or made the material more firm, therefore faking the appearance of the flag remaining perfectly flat and not moving, as the Astronaut would be turning the flag back and forth. This would have simulated the appearance of the flag being twisted in a vacuum as on the real Moon, and not hitting pockets of air causing it to bend and fold. Astronaut Gene says at :22 "Yea, but ya ever see it vibrate like that?(In practice runs on the Fake Moon-Set) Astronaut Jack replies "No, I've never put a flag up on the (Fake)Moon before." Gene replies "What!"(while laughing) Astronaut Jack says at 1:14 "That sort of looks like it's waving in a breeze(hitting pockets of air in the Fake Moon-Set Studio Bay).
