Thought it would be a perfect opportunity for an illusion. So what can I do for a pool illusion? How about a pool ball? Kinda cheesey but I thought it turned out pretty good. I wanted to do an 8 ball but the blue tape worked perfectly for the 2 ball. The ending of the video was quite a surprise when the illusion caught the attention of the kitty cat.

My latest anamorphic illusion. I've had this illusion in my head for months but just never got around to doing it. It was the hardest illusion I've created so far. I couldn't have done it without the help of dxdutch. She helped me from the very start and it took us over 10 straight hours of work. Dxdutch has her own channel on youtube. She is an amazing song writer and singer. Be sure to check her channel out and subscribe. *******www.youtube****/dxdutch Download the music in this video: *******itunes.apple****/us/album/break-emotion-single/id399452730 Break Emotion ------------------------- Check out the behind the scenes video on my other channel: *******www.youtube****/watch?v=CSm5gHTOfxk You can also see another version of the illusion on my other channel: *******www.youtube****/watch?v=tdWLx5Yi_jE ---------------------------- This illusion uses the tape from cassette tapes to create an anamorphic image of a ghetto blaster. The top parts of the radio were the easiest to work on. All we had to do was spread the tape semi-evenly. When viewed from a low angle is basically looks like a solid piece. The closer we got to the bottom of the radio, the more difficult it became. Even a small 1 inch by 1 inch piece could take 20 minutes to work on. There were several points during the creation of the illusion that I was ready to give up. I did a few test shots when the radio was half finished and it just didnt seem to be working. But we kept going and we were pretty happy with the end result.

I tape the templates to poster board then cut with a hobby knife. I fold the poster board then use scotch tape to hold them together. The templates are not 100% perfect. So if you build this model, you might have to squish the columns a little or move the pieces a little to get it to look just right. These are my favorite illusions. From one angle everything looks perfectly normally until you see the balls rolling uphill. When you change the angle of the camera you see that the ramps are not as they appeared. They are actually slanting downhill instead of uphill. It's all about the perspective of course. All of the work for the illusion is performed in a 3D program. The process to create these illusions is long and difficult. I basically create the design the way it should appear and then create a duplicate of the design that will be the actual physical copy. I manipulate the duplicate in the 3D program so that the ramps ultimately slant down but still match the original layer of the ramps that are aiming up. Once I've created the ramps that slant down, I flatten the shapes, print them out, cut, fold and tape. The camera must be set up in the same position that the camera in the 3D program was set to. The objects that you can create with this technique are unlimited. What happens in our brain when we view an optical illusion? The information gathered by the eye is processed in the brain to create an idea or image that does not match with a physical measurement of the stimulus source.

This really is one of the easiest and most amazing tricks ever. All you need is a plastic coat hanger and a coin. Balance the coin in the middle of the hanger then just start spinning the hanger around. It does take some practice but stick with it and you'll get it! If you really want to impress, learn to stop the spinning hanger with the coin still balanced. I love this style of illusion and thought pacman would be perfect for it. This illusion uses the same concept as the rubiks cube poster. This video is not about creating a new concept, it's about a new design being applied to a concept. (Think of it like a painter using the same lighting and shading techniques for each painting he creates.) I've included links to templates so you can make this poster at home. Basically cut all the white areas out, fold and tape. *******i.imgur****/QDAKb.jpg *******i.imgur****/9LUv6.jpg *******i.imgur****/p4M3M.jpg This middle link represent the middle section of the poster. The top link represents the left side and the bottom link represents the right. The poster will work with only 1 middle section ..but I used 2 in this video. You can use as many as you'd like. A lot of people ask if the illusion works in person. The illusion actually works much better in person. It works best if you close one eye and then move back and forth. The effect stands out so much ..it almost makes you dizzy. If you stand far enough back ..you can even get the illusion to work with both eyes open ..which looks pretty amazing as well. The first time I saw this dragon illusion I thought it was fake. But after researching a little bit I quickly found out it's as real as it gets. You can print out the same dragon by clicking the link below *******www.grand-illusions****/images/articles/opticalillusions/dragon_illusion/dragon.pdf The concept in this dragon illusion has been used many times over. It's a simple concept that reverses the head so that when you change the viewing angle the head appears to turn. The idea of this illusion can be used in many different ways, including by making a larger version. Imagine a dragon that stands 8 or 9 feet tall and as you walk around it, the head follows you. Credit goes to Jerry Andrus as the creator of this wonderful illusion.

This creation is not about if it is "obvious" or not. It's not an illusion. It's not supposed to be. It's the creation of a device that is actually fun to build and play with and I thought others would appreciate it and have fun building their own and possibly modifying the design. Better materials, different shapes, etc. So if you want to give it a try i've included a link to the template below! Good luck! And even though the square looks orange in the video, I can assure you that the actual color is red. It just got lost in the lighting and the rendering of the video. I cut black poster board and taped it so that it covered the shadow. Then I moved the light source to the opposite side of the room and shined it on the chair which created another shadow. Again, I cut black poster board and taped it so that it covered the shadow. Then I just removed the actual chair from inbetween the 2 shadows. The whole process took about 10 hours. The music in the video is my newest song. Called "Time Catcher" You can download it here: *******www.amazon****/Time-Catcher-Single/dp/B007D8C5TQ/ref=sr_1_3?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1330492070&sr=1-3 Add me on Facebook ********www.facebook****/pages/Brusspup/158773774166995 (click the like button on facebook to add me) Believe it or not, this was my biggest effort on any videos I've done. It took the most time, the most patience, the most research and the most money to create. Surprisingly one of the hardest things was to find bulk colored push pins. I ended up having to order about 40,000 push pins in "variety packs" in order to get all of the colors I needed. There are approximately 15,000 push pins in the portrait. I worked on it a little each day for about a month. The final portrait weighs about 40 pounds, which includes the cork board. I built a wooden frame to support it. I was afraid that when I lifted it, it would break under it own weight. So the frame worked out perfectly. In the video it looks like there is a problem with the forehead, but it's just the light reflecting. The girl in the portrait is Dxdutch. I definitely couldnt have created this without her. She helped so much. Thank you! Check out her channel *******www.youtube****/dxdutch Tell her brusspup sent you. :)

Facebook: *******www.facebook****/pages/Brusspup/158773774166995 (To add me on Facebook just hit the LIKE button) Twitter: *******www.twitter****/brusspup This is an oldie but a goodie. Add 1/2 cup of corn starch with 1/4 cup of water. Mix until substance is consistent You'll need an amped speaker. I used an 8 inch amped sub. You'll need to generate a Sine Wave. You can download free programs that can make a Sine Wave. I used 60HZ. I used red food coloring at the end. It may take a little trial and error but it's worth it. :D Good luck!

Infinity Mirror Illusion. Extremely simple concept with stunning results. The illusion may look complicated but it was really very easy to make. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Details of materials and construction for Infinity Mirror Illusion The sizes and measurements i've provided may not be 100% accurate. Feel free to experiment with your own materials and measurements. I picked up all of the materials in the video from Hobby Lobby ..except for the mirrored tint. 1 - 7" Cardboard lid 1 1/2" height 1 - 9" Cardboard lid 1 1/2" height 1 - 15 bulb LED light strand 1 - 7" diameter mirror 1 - 1' X 1' 1/10" thick plexiglass or real glass (whichever you prefer -- real glass will give a cleaner result) Take the 7" Cardboard lid and mark a spot every 24 degrees on the outside rim halfway between the top and the bottom. That will create 15 marks around the lid for the LED's I used a hand drill to create the holes for the LED's. Make the holes a little smaller than the LED's so that they'll fit snug Push the LED's into the hole. Push them in far enough so that they visible from the inside. Cut the bottom of the lid out. Glue the mirror in the middle of the inside of the 9" lid. Place the 7" ring with LED's into the 9" lid. The small ring should sit directly on top of the mirror. Cut a piece of mirrored window tint and apply it to the plexiglass / glass. Attached the plexiglass/glass to the top of your lids. I used duct tape to hold the glass to the cardboard lids then cut black construction paper to cover the sides and back. I cut a ring out of silver construction paper and placed it on top to hide the duct tape. I used velcro to hold the battery back to the back or the top of the infinity mirror device. Good luck! Congrats to SamuelLockyer for winning the Mirror!
