A virtual geological trip over one of the most spectacular geological features in our solar system.
The largest canyon system in the solar system. Mars Valles Marineris. It extends east-west about 3,000 km, spans 700 km across and digs more than 8km deep. (some 7 times longer, 40 times wider, and 4 times deeper than Earth's Grand Canyon).
A video produced by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Arizona State University. To make the video, a high-resolution mosaic was combined of photos taken at infrared wavelengths by NASA's Mars Odyssey orbiter with more than 50 million altitude measurements recorded by NASA's Mars Global Surveyor spacecraft.

They even searched the trunk of our car when we left the Grand Canyon. The Convict was considered to be Armed and Dangerous. I think i see him through the fence at the end.
Thunderstorm as seen from the S. Rim of the Grand Canyon. Lots of thunder, little lighting. Taken in 6-06. The echo was amazing.
