MISSISSAUGA WATCH Blog: http://www.mississaugablogs.com/Mississauga_Musings/ I spent my last day on Maui visiting the Police and Fire Services stationed at the Lahaina Civic Center I received permission to photograph and videotape their vehicles. Also bought a souvenir Maui Police badge for my Canada cap. I talked story with a Maui Police officer who even backed out her vehicle so she could take some pics of me beside her car. Out of all the photos I'll share you the best of the lot because it's appropriate for today --as my response to the tragedy in Kirkwood, Missouri. "INTEGRITY, COMPASSION, FAIRNESS, SERVICE" Can you imagine how tough that motto must be to live up to? Especially when an officer has some Belligerent spewing a virulent "GO **** YOURSELF!" right in his face? "INTEGRITY, COMPASSION, FAIRNESS, SERVICE" I saw that Maui Police logo and immediately thought of Robert Browning. "Ah, but a man's reach should exceed his grasp, or what's a heaven for?" "INTEGRITY, COMPASSION, FAIRNESS, SERVICE" Ho Boy that must be one tough Grasp. And then there's that Hawaiian inside the logo -- "E MALAMA KAKOU" "E MALAMA KAKOU" --that's Hawaiian for "TO CARE FOR ALL". "to care for all".... Maui gets it. They know that it's not possible to "TO CARE FOR ALL" without the prerequisite "Infrastructure" "INTEGRITY, COMPASSION, FAIRNESS, SERVICE". Signed, The (Mahalo Nui Loa, Maui Police!) Mississauga Muse

Must See Interview conducted by OMNI 2 News, Canada (Posted by United Sri Lankans of Canada) Dr. Palitha Kohana (Sri Lankan Foreign Secretary) during his official visit to Canada relayed the positive message to all Canadian Sri Lankans passed on to him by the Government of Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. During his very busy schedule he was interviewed by OMNI 2 news, CBC as well as other various media. People far away as Vancouver and Montreal flocked to meet Dr. Kohana during the labor day long weekend at Scarborough Civic Center when he attended Late Hon. Lakshman Kadiragamar's 3rd year remembrance (Former Sri Lankan Foreign Affairs Minister who was assassinated by Tamil Tigers) this important event was hosted by SLUNA (Sri Lankan United National Association of Canada) on their 25th year anniversary. Mrs. Kadiragamar, TULF President Ananada Sangaree, Toronto Sri Lanka Consul General Bandula Jayasekera as well as members of parliament and opposition were present at this highly recognized event. ***Sources notified organizers and authorities that Pro Tamil Tiger media had broadcasted over the air ways urging all its supporters and agents to go and sabotage Late Lakshman Kadirgamar's 3rd year remembrance and the peaceful gathering of all ethnic communities, due to this factor tight security was put in place with RCMP keeping a close eye for any possible intruders*** During Dr. Kohana's visit he didn't waste a single minute of his time as he met with members of parliament, opposition as well as members of all Sri Lankan communities. His message was very clear and coherent and was never out of context as he touched on every possible issue raised. Please click on the following interview to see Dr. Kohana's response to many false allegations and propaganda spread by Tamil Tiger agents in Toronto and Canada. Slipknot announce their U.S. tour in 2009. website http://allhopeisgone.com SLIPKNOT ANNOUNCES U.S. ARENA HEADLINE TOUR BAND RETURNS HOME IN SUPPORT OF ALL HOPE IS GONE 2009 MARKS 10-YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF BAND'S LANDMARK DEBUT ALBUM New York, NY - Grammy-award winning hard rockers Slipknot announced today their first U.S. headline tour in support of their #1 album All Hope Is Gone. The tour, which kicks off on January 23rd in St. Paul, MN, will hit 33 cities across the country, and include an historic stop at New York's Madison Square Garden, a first for the band. Coheed and Cambria and labelmates Trivium round out the bill. Frontman Corey Taylor says of the trek, "2009 is the 10 year anniversary of the world's first taste of this band. To celebrate we are coming back out with a killer tour, a couple great bands and the same ferocity with which we attack life. We want all of our maggots to come and celebrate with us, because if it wasn't for you we wouldn't have been here for 10 years. Get ready for chaos!" A special iTunes presale will start on December 3 and be open to those who took part in the band's digital album presale earlier this year. Internet presales via Ticketmaster, will commence on December 5, and the majority of dates will go on sale December 6th. The All Hope Is Gone World Tour marks Slipknot's first headline run in America since the release of the album in August. The band is currently playing to sold out arenas on the other side of the globe; including stops in Russia, Japan, Australia, Europe and wrapping in the United Kingdom with three sold-out nights at London's Hammersmith Apollo. Preceding All Hope Is Gone's #1 debut, the band held the headline slot on this summer's sold-out inaugural Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival, which drew the biggest crowds to a metal festival since Slipknot played Ozzfest in 2004. To celebrate the tour, Hard Drive, hosted by Lou Brutus will be airing a Slipknot All Hope is Gone World Tour Special from December 3rd-6th on radio stations all across the country. The special will feature exclusive live tracks from their current tour as well as candid interviews and other surprises. Footage from the First Annual Ken Gorman Memorial Rally, held in Civic Center Park in Denver, Colorado. This was the largest rally and show of support for Marijuana legalization in the history of the state. Over 700 people were in attendance, and 67 arrests were made. The rally was held to honor the memory of marijuana activist Ken Gorman, who was shot dead in his home while growing medicinal marijuana. Ken Gorman, the "KG 1", or "Governor Pothead", had thrown the rallies the previous decade and prior, throwing out joints to the crowd and making passionate speeches damning those that would keep the strongest plant on the planet illegal. If you weren't there, watch the vid to see what happened, and make sure you are there next year so it can be even bigger. Thanks to all those who attended and especially those who were arrested or ticketed. To see more footage of the Actual Ken Gorman, please visit pot-tv.net and search for Ken Gorman to see one of the best pro-pot speakers ever, addressing his crowd on the capital steps. Rest in Peace, Ken. K.O.S.T.J. (Keep On Smokin' Them Joints!)
