The Concept. Also known as "the premise," Your story will be strongest if you know, in a nutshell, what your story is about. It can be stated in the simplest of terms; in fact it's a good exercise to try and do just that before writing, let alone shooting. William Foster-Harris said that there are only three essential plots in storytelling. Rudyard Kipling said there are sixty-nine. The point is a plot is constructed around an underlying premise. The more specifically you can identify your premise, the better chance you have in telling the story. Think of it this way: being able to succinctly describe your concept is a good test of whether your audience will understand and be affected by your film. And better yet, working on your concept is something you can do before you've spent a single dime on production. Because the truth is you can do it inside your head for free.

Morph is a concept demonstrating some of the possibilities nanotechnologies might enable in future communication devices. Morph can sense its environment, is energy harvesting and self cleaning . Morph is a flexible two-piece device that can adapt its shape to different use modes. Nanotechnology enables to have adaptive materials yet rigid forms on demand. It is also featured in the MoMA online exhibition "Design and the Elastic Mind". It has been a collaboration project of Nokia Research Center and Cambridge Nanoscience Center.

Now, you're not going to see this in stores any time soon. But if you'd like to get an idea of what Nokia thinks the future of communications will look like, take a look at the Nokia 888 communicator, a concept design that recently won Nokia's Benelux design contest. The bracelet-like 888 is envisioned to use a liquid battery, feature speech recognition, a flexible touch screen, and a touch sensitive body cover. A video showing off the device's potential features shows off close to a dozen functions, including an alarm clock, PDA, GPS, phone, push email receiver, digital wallet and, of course, jewelry. And, other than the "liquid battery," we can actually see this in the not-too-distant future. Just give us some full-color E-ink, flexible OLED displays and inkjet-printed circuit boards, and we're almost there.

When it was introduced, the upscale style of this sedan captured the admiration of people from all walks of life, and the best part, you didn't have to be a millionaire to afford one. Learning from its success, it appears Chrysler may be looking to use the same formula with its new Imperial Concept. Introduced at this year's North American International Auto Show, the Imperial is positioned to be Chrysler's flagship luxury sedan, that is, if they decide to build it.

A short video showing the 2009 Dodge Challenger at a Car Show in Kansas City. The 2009 Challenger was exciting to see in person, it looks even more impressive when you're standing right next to it. Dodge concept vehicles are always my favorite part of the Car Shows.
