An almost successful attempt at surprising my wife (who was in India) by going halfway around the globe, cooking up a story to explain my absence for the 18 hour period, arranging a pickup from her house without her knowledge, exasperated attempt at preventing my/her parents from leaking the info and so on. Well almost, as the attempt failed from her parents. And so is this video.

created by ghanshyam thakur aka monu-g (fan made video) ARTICLE ON HT 25 FEB 2011 NEWS (THE MYSTERY ABOUT ROHAN RATHORE) this is just for entertainment purpose NO COPYRIGHTS :-:) It's a story that would touch anyone's heart — Rohan Rathore, an IIT-Guwahati student, loved a girl who didn't reciprocate his feelings. He composed a heart-wrenching number for her and died of cancer 15 days later. The song, titled Emptiness, became a rage online, with around 15 lakh views and eight dedicated Facebook groups with thousands of fans. However, there is a hitch. Apparently, Rohan Rathore does not exist. GAJENDRA VERMA, a 21-year-old sound recordist from Mumbai, says that he has sung the song, written by Aseem Ahmed Abbasee, a writer, and Verma's friend, Monami Roy. To counter the Rohan Rathore story, Verma will be releasing the complete album with six songs next month, and has already posted the song on YouTube, with a slideshow of his pictures. "I had composed the tune for a project one-and-a-half years ago. I had sent the song to some people for feedback, and I think it got leaked then," says Verma. Reacting to allegations that he and Aseem cooked up this story to publicise the song and increase downloads, he says, "Why would I publicise my song using someone else's name?" He adds, "I feel really bad when I see someone else's name on my song. I don't even know how Rohan Rathore's name got attached to it. I know that the voice is mine." Aseem Abbasee, the lyricist, says he is unaware about the Rohan Rathore story. "I wrote this song when Gajendra approached me for it. Its unfortunate that it got stolen and people attached a false story with it." Shortly after the song became popular, fans got curious. Sumit Lal wrote, "I finally dug out the story. No one at IIT-G knows who Rathore is." "People like the song because of the story behind it," Ho love of mine.. with a song and a whine.. You're harsh and divine.. like truths and a lie.. but the tale end's not here.. I've nothing to fear.. for my love is yell of giving an hold on... in the bright emptiness.. in the room full of it.. is a cruel mistress ho ho o... I feel the sunrise.. that nest all hollowness.. for i have nowhere to go and im cold.. And i feel so lonely yea.. There's a better place from this emptiness.. And i'm so lonely yea.. There's a better place from this emptiness.. yeiyeiyeiya.... Aa..aa.. aa..... Tune mere jaana.. Kabhinahijana.. Ishq mera dard mera..haaye... Tune mere jaana.. Kabhi nahi jana.. Ishq mera dard mera ... Aashiq teraaa.. Bheed mein khoya rehta hai.. Jaane jahaanaaa.. Puchho toh itna kehta hai.. And i feel so lonely yea.. There s a better place from this emptiness.. And i'm so lonely yea.. More about the song and the lyrics: the lyrics of this song are just awesome, the song starts with a beautiful combination of (synthesizer, drums and acoustic guitar) and then the soothing lyrics. I just love the rhyme in the first part, the love of mine, with a song and a wine, you'r harsh and divine. The way the singer expresses his love for the girl is amazing, no doubt he picked the best way, he wrote a song and made his love immortal. The reprise is mixture of the english words "I am so lonely" with classical music "alaap" which makes the song more beautiful. When i heard the song for the first time, it was very hard for me to believe that the singer is an "Indian", but later in the song itself when the hindi lyrics arrive out of nowhere, this song becomes magical, I was struck with sheer brilliance of the guys behind this song. Meaning of the part in "Hindi" for some of our international followers: Basically the hindi part also expresses the same, love of the author towards the girl, but the hindi part is more fascinating. The meaning is: "girl, you never understood me or my love. It is my love and hence my pain. I was always there in the crowd, but you never realized and whenever someone asked me, I just said ....... I am so lonely ....... ". "Tune nahi jaana, Kabhi nahi jaana", the case with almost everybody. Sometimes in life, everyone of you must have encountered a situation where the one you love the most, does not understand you, and the time when you want that one to be with you, all you get is "Emptiness/Loneliness". So, all I would say is "Feel This Song". .. thank u monu g
