The Iowa Supreme Court ruled that the states ban same-sex marriage was unconstitutional. According to the court, Iowa was denying equal protection under the law to homosexuals who want to marry. Find out why this is ridiculous on Learn2Discern. Distributed by Tubemogul.

Newsy**** tracks reaction to Sonia Sotomayor's nomination to the Supreme Court of the United States.
On May 18, 2009 the U.S. Supreme Court announced it would hear a constitutional challenge to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, a law that mandated costly accounting procedures of questionable effectiveness in the wake of the Enron and WorldCom scandals. Attorneys from the Competitive Enterprise Institute are serving as co-counsel in the case, representing pro bono a small accounting firm in Nevada burdened by the Sarbox mandates.
CEI's John Berlau, writer of the popular Youtube public policy video "Sarbanes-Oxley and Tattoos," explains the nuts and bolts of Sarbox in this video, and why Sarbox overhaul is now needed more than ever to bring growth to this sluggish economy. Berlau explains how issuing stock has traditionally helped smaller companies during a debt shortage, but how Sarbox means a brick wall -- through the tripling of audit costs -- for companies that try to go public now. Berlau shows how Sarbanes-Oxley did not catch the current scandals and harms honest entrepreneurs, and shows why repealing it could be one of the best economic stimulus packages we could have.
Today more than 900 people gathered in Boystown to join voices and show their dismay regarding the CA Supreme Court Ruling on the validity of Prop 8.
Do I have to go to court?
No you don't have to go to court. The decision on whether to go to court or not is always yours. Sometimes however it is important that you file suit in your case because the insurance company is being unreasonable in the amount of money that they are offering.
If you have a serious injury and the insurance company is not offering serious money then our advice to you would be to file suit so that you can get the serious money that your case deserves.
Often times insurance companies offer settlements before you need to go to court but more often than not their strategy is to offer you less than what you can get through trial.
Keep in mind that insurance companies and their attorneys know exactly how much your claim is worth, and they are in a much more powerful position to negotiate with the other party than you are. Their job is to resolve the potential "liability" by paying as little as possible to you. Many valuable rights were lost because the injured person believed what he or she was told by the insurance company.
Some personal injury attorneys just try to settle your case without ever trying your case. At O'Bryan Law we are committed to obtaining your fair compensation, and if the insurance company refuses to pay the acceptable amount, then we proceed in court. We know how much you are entitled to and we ensure that your injuries and losses are fairly compensated for.

*******doodiepants**** While the Mustache guy from the People’s Court episode may have gotten a lot of press, he’ll never steal the mustache awesomeness from the likes of these 2 mustache pioneers: Burt Reynolds and Tom Selleck. This video clearly illustrates the point.
