Гаудеамус - старинный студенческий гимн
Juvenes dum sumus
Post jucundum juventutem
Post molestam senectutem
Nos habebit humus. Let us rejoice therefore
While we are young.
After a pleasant youth
After a troublesome old age
The earth will have us.
Ubi sunt qui ante nos
In mundo fuere?
Vadite ad superos
Transite in inferos
Hos si vis videre. Where are they
Who were in the world before us?
You may cross over to heaven
You may go to hell
If you wish to see them.
Vita nostra brevis est
Venit mors velociter
Rapit nos atrociter
Nemini parcetur. Our life is brief
It will be finished shortly.
Death comes quickly
Atrociously, it snatches us away.
No one is spared.
Vivat membrum quodlibet
Vivat membra quaelibet
Semper sint in flore. Long live the academy!
Long live the teachers!
Long live each male student!
Long live each female student!
May they always flourish!
Vivant omnes virgines
Vivant et mulieres
Bonae laboriosae. Long live all maidens
Easy and beautiful!
Long live mature women also,
Tender and loveable
And full of good labor.
Vivant et republica
et qui illam regit.
Vivat nostra civitas,
Quae nos hic protegit. Long live the State
And the One who rules it!
Long live our City
And the charity of benefactors
Which protects us here!
(vers. C. W. Kindeleben 1781)
Let sadness perish!
Let haters perish!
Let the devil perish!
Let whoever is against our school
Who laughs at it, perish!

Chad Ochocinco won’t sit around moping about the impending NFL lockout. He’s planning on taking his talents to Kansas City to play the other type of football. You know, the football where you actually use your feet.
Sporting KC, a Major League Soccer team, has invited the star wide receiver to a four-day tryout beginning on March 22. But, the move has left some skeptical.
Matt Vensel of The Baltimore Sun wonders if it’s all just a stunt to gain some media attention for the team...
“I’m not sure who’s more desperate for attention: Ochocinco or the MLS team formerly known as the Kansas City Wizards.”
Sporting KC coach Peter Vermes says of course the move is going to draw attention for the league and his team, but tells ESPN’s Michael Smith the tryout is serious...
“For us, we always want to try to improve our team, and if there’s something here, great. If not, I guess we’ll move on. But in the meantime, the exposure will be good for the league, good for Sporting Kansas City and good for the game.”
Ochocinco is certainly no stranger to publicity stunts. He’s the guy who once said he could swim faster than Michael Phelps.
But soccer is a sport in which Ochocinco has always had an interest - playing up until high school.
The Cincinnati Enquirer points out that Ochocinco is friends with many of soccer’s biggest stars...
“Ochocinco has long been a fan of soccer and is knowledgeable about the sport. Among his friends are Thierry Henry, of the New York Red Bulls; Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo and two-time FIFA World Player of the Year Ronaldinho.”
If Ochocinco is truly serious about making a move to professional soccer, some analysts wonder if other athletes will follow his lead and change sports. William Browning of Yahoo! Sports says if the NBA were to enter a lockout - he can think of someone else with an interest in crossing over...
“Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers grew up playing soccer and attended the 2010 FIFA World Cup last summer. If he joins the Galaxy mid-season, he’d make an instant impression on the league’s marketability.”
So, what do you think? Can Ochocinco make an MLS roster? Or, is he just pulling one of his trademark publicity stunts?

Take a tour of Clyde Arc in Glasgow, Scotland - part of the World's Greatest Attractions travel video series by GeoBeats.
Designed to last 120 years, the Clyde Arc Bridge in Glasgow, Scotland has been standing since 2006.
Locally monikered the Squinty Bridge, this bridge accommodates 4 lanes of traffic as well as having a pedestrian walkway.
The bridge spans a total of 169 meters, crossing over the River Clyde at a pronounced angle.
Much of the bridge was built on a floating barge, while some pieces were constructed elsewhere and then shipped to the site.
The Clyde Arc is supposedly the first step in a regeneration project for the areas on either side of the river.
Its unique curved design has made for structural problems in the past, but it stands strong today.
Hello! I`m going to tell you an interesting story for five minutes.Just make yourself comfortable and listen.
The Bible shows a good picture of relationship between men and God. God truly wants a close relationship with men.
Only when men have a close relationship with God, can they enjoy life to the fullest like a leafy tree.
However, men rejected this close relationship with God and made themselves distant from God.
That is how they became alienated from God.
Likewise, God calls this rejection of a close relationship with God "sin."
Romans 3:23 says that for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, for all have sinned
Everybody who lives as they please without God is a sinner. And this very sinner is judged by God.
Hebrews 9: 27 says that Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgement,
Death is not the end but is followed by God`s judgement.
Don`t we pay the price when we sin in this world by serving the time in prison? It`s the same with God.
A judged soul descends into hell which is eternal death.
Romans 6 : 23 says that For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The wages of sin is death; therefore some people think they can reach God when they do many good deeds or live a moral life.
Or some try to reach out to God by practicing religion such as Buddhism, Confucianism, or Taoism.
But nothing in this world such as good deeds, morals and religions can lead us to God. See, he is not able to reach God.
Proverbs 14 : 12
There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end
it leads to death
So all people that live as they please without God are running toward sin, God`s judgement and Hell-the eternal death.
So God who loves us came up with a marvelous solution which only God is able to implement. That is non-other than Jesus Christ.
God paved the way for men to reach Him by having His one and only son Jesus Christ carry every men`s sin for us and crucifying him.
See, he is able to reach God.
Roman 5: 8 says, But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
While we were still sinners, Chirist died for us.
You can receive Jesus as your personal saviour by hearing and believing this fact which is God`s Word.
John 1: 12 says that Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
God gave the right to become His children. In this way, anyone who receives Jesus as his/her personal saviour becomes a child of God.
Well, cats have their own life, puppies have their own life and man have their own life as well.
Likewise children of God will be able to have eternal life which is God`s life.
The Bible promises us a blessing where a person who became a child of God is not condemned by God but is transformed from a sinner to a righteous man, from eternal death to eternal life.
John 5:24 says that I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.
Now, think on which side you stand.
Are you standing on the place where there are God`s judgement and eternal death far away from God because of your sins? Or Are you standing on the other side where there are righteous man, no judgement but everlasting and abundant life that God has promised?
It`s up to you, brother( or sister).
Right now you may feel like something is touching your heart.
That`s the voice of Jesus. Jesus is knocking on the door of your heart right now.
Revelation 3:20 says that Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.
I just hope that you`ll open your heart wide and accept Jesus as your personal saviour so that you`ll be transferred from here to the place of blessing.
Let me pray for a minute and finish.
You just have to say "Amen" at the end.
Lord! I believe that it is not a coincidence that this brother(or sister) is hearing your Word today.
Lord, You made him/her hear Your Word because You loved him/her. I pray that he/she will make his/her heart wide open and receive Jesus as his/her personal saviour so that he/she won`t lead to God`s judgement after being transformed from a sinner to a righteous man and will be moved from eternal death to everlasting life.
In Jesus` name I prayed. Amen. (Say "Amen")

An unexpected new conflict -- reports indicate forces loyal to Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi spilled over into neighboring Tunisia in their efforts to chase rebels in the western border town of Dahiba.
ANITA MCNAUGHT: “Things have taken an extraordinary turn at this crossing, Nick. We understand that not only have Gaddafi troops crossed over the border crossing into Tunisia, but they are now engaged in combat in the border town of Dehiba with Tunisian forces trying to stop them from advancing any further.
Dahiba was captured by the rebels last week, prompting retaliation from loyalist forces and the fight that took them into another country -- but it wasn’t just soldiers crossing. Sky News says there was some firepower thrown over the line as well.
ANCHOR: “Well, there was a very intensive attack by the Libyan government forces on this important border crossing at Dahiba. In which there were also some rounds, including mortar, three mortar rounds fired into Tunisian territory. Most likely by the Gaddafi forces. They were also using snipers across that border position at one point.”
Tunisian military have captured fifteen vehicles from Gaddafi forces and experts say the border town of Dahiba is vital to the rebel cause. The Wall Street Journal calls it...
“...a significant advance beyond their eastern Libyan strongholds that enabled them to bring in supplies by road through the Tunisian border... Loss of the crossing would sever the rebels' only paved road to the outside world.”
And that isn’t its only importance -- The Christian Science Monitor says the rebel occupation of the town represents Gaddafi’s weakening control over the western side of the country.
“...Qaddafi, who has mostly been focused on Misurata (Miz-raa-tah) for weeks, is now being drawn in other directions. While a few weeks ago Misurata was seen as a lone western holdout, its successful defiance of the government ... has inspired rebel gains elsewhere in the west.”
According to Reuters soldiers loyal to Gaddafi have been returned over the border and the town is now firmly in the hands of the rebels.

Tai Chi: Overview - part of the women's fitness video series by GeoBeats.
Hello, my name is Tiffany Chen. I am an instructor at William C.C. Chen Tai Chi Chuan, in New York, New York. As we begin, we start with the heels together and the toes pointing out so that the feet are in the V position. Arms are relaxed by your side and now relax at the knees, step out with the left and turn out the heels slightly so the foot is parallel with the wall.
Shift into the left leg and now turn in the right foot on the heel so the feet are parallel to each other. Now you want to double weight, relax, exhale, and let the weight of your body fall into the balls of your feet. And now energize from the base up into the arms, and all the way through into the fingertips inhaling.
And now relaxing, exhaling, now that we will shrink back the shoulders. And as you inhale, breathe down into your belly button and energize back up into the fingertips. And now down, relax, and exhale again.
Now all the way you should sink into the balls of the feet. Shift into the left side. And the left side is going to open up the right side on the heel, right palm on top, left underneath, like you are holding a beach ball. Shift into the right leg, step out with the left. Shift into the left leg, let the energy sink down, and turn in.
Left palm up, right palm down. Right foot turns in on the heel. Now turn to the left like you are holding a beach ball on the left side of the body. Palms facing each other. Sink into the left leg. The right heel naturally comes up off the ground. Spin open to the right using a left leg. Now step out with the right leg, shift all the way into the right leg, sink down.
And now as we turn in, the ball shrinks and the left foot turns in on the heel. One, turn to the right. Two, shift the weight back with left palm under the right elbow, relax exhaling. And now inhaling, letting the palms come down to the side of the body, trapping down. Shift the weight forward, relaxing, sinking into the right leg, and turning and pressing. So your palms are touching each other.
One, shift the eight back, bring the elbows back. Collapse into the hips. Shift the weight into the front leg, sink, and then energize and reach out with the fingertips. Shift the weight back into the left leg, relax. Now use a left leg to pull in the right side so the feet are pigeon toed. Shift the weight into the right leg now all the way sinking down so that the energy can spiral up, spinning on the ball of the left foot and extending the right arm with the fingers hooked.
Step put of the left, shift, sink, spin up from the elbow of the left palm and turn in. Now raise the right heel, turn, sink, open up both palms. And now energize and let your elbows roll down. Step in on the heel in the center with the right foot. Step back through the ball over the hands, step back out, shift the weight, sinking down and now shoulder strike. Collapse raise the left heel.
Now sweep across the left foot, raising the right palm and lowering the left to the hip. One turn, drop the right hand, raise the left. Two, turn back, drop the left, now bring the right back over. Step back out to the left foot, shift, sink, brush knee push and turn in on the heel of the right foot.
Raise up the right foot, set aback down, sink into the right leg. And now elbows roll down, step in on the heel of the left foot. One turn, and two turn back. Step out of the left, shift, sink down into the left leg, brush knee and push. So the left hand comes over the thigh of the left leg and the right hand just extends out infront of you.
Now, one, shift the weight back. Two, turn out with the left foot, shift the weight into the left leg now. Take a half step with the right infront of the arch of the left foot so the feet are on a T position. Shift the weight into the right leg and the hands float up to the left shoulder. The right hand in a fist, the left palm opened, and the right foot spins forward the left foot.
Shift the weight into the left leg, sink down, brush over the knee with the palm of left hand and the right hand extends out into a punch. Raise up the right foot, set it down, open up the fist, step back touching the wrist of the right hand with the left. Sink down and then energize down with the fingertips of the right hand.
Come back up. Step out with the left foot towards the floor. Shift, sink into the left leg and bring the right hand to the temple and the left hand extends down infront of you. One, shift the weight back, turn in the left foot so the feet are pigeon toed again and the hands are either side of the head.
Shift the weight into the left leg dropping the right hand into the fist. The left hand comes over to the right shoulder. Step around, turning the fist over. Step through the left foot. Shift until left leg sinking down. And now opening the fist of the right hand and chopping above the left.
Cross over with the right hand, step back with the left. You are going to step forward with the right, shift, sink into the right leg and push. Shift the weight back into the left leg, open up. Your arms turn in the right foot. Now step back with the left foot so the feet are parallel. Drop the hands down and bring them back infront of you with the right hand infront and crossing.

The diamondback terrapins were trying to get to an ideal location to lay their eggs. That's a sandy area that happens to be across Runway 4, according to Carol Bannerman of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The turtles were primarily female, and the fertilization of their eggs occurs in the water, she said.
JFK is surrounded by a bay and wetland areas. The first turtle was spotted at 6:45 a.m. and a short time afterward, Port Authority staff was dispatched and the U.S. Department of Agriculture assisted, according to Port Authority spokesman Ron Marsico.
"This happens every year," Marsico said. "I guess some years there is more turtle activity." After a turtle was spotted, it was picked up and moved to a better destination to continue nesting, Bannerman said.
Tai Chi: Fair Lady and the Shuttle - part of the women's fitness video series by GeoBeats.
Hello, my name is Tiffany Chen, I am from William C. C. Chen's Tai Chi Chuan. I am going to do Fair Lady at the Shuttle with you today. Turn to the left. Get into a position we call “Single Whip”. Left leg in front, right leg behind. Eighty percent of the weight in the left leg, and twenty percent in the right leg. Left palm open up in front of you, right arm extends at the side, gently bent at the elbow and fingers hooked around the thumb.
I am going to have you shift your weight back into the right leg, and as you do so you move away from the left palm. With the weight in the right leg now, the right leg pulls in the left side, so you are pigeon-toed, and now as you shift the weight over into the left leg, the right arm crosses over the left arm. And now the left side is going to spin open the right side on the heel of the right foot and as that happens the palms open up and form a “T” position, with the left hand at the top of the “T” and the right palm at the bottom.
Shift the weight into the right leg, step through with the left. Now, shift into the left leg, and we are going to turn in, and turn out the palms. This completes the segment.
Tai Chi: Spread Arms Like Fan Turn Around and Chop - part of the women's fitness video series by GeoBeats.
Hello, my name is Tiffany Chen. I am from William C. C. Chen’s Tai Chi Chuan. I am going to work on spread arms like fan into step around and chop. Begin by turning to your left. Left leg in front, right leg behind. And I just want you to put your hands in front of you, touch the wrist of the right arm gently with the fingers of the left hand, and relax exhaling, and dip to the left slightly sinking into the left leg, the energy spiraling down. And then when the energy finishes spiraling down, let it naturally bounce back up and bring the right palm to your temple and the left hand extends out in front of you.
Now shift the weight back into the right leg. The right leg is going to pull the left foot in so you are pigeon toed and both hands are by the sides of your head. Shift the weight into the left leg. Drop the right hand to the fist. Left hand comes over to the right shoulder. We are going to use the left leg to help spin us around and flip the fist over and step wide with the right. Shift the weight into the right leg, step through with the left leg, sinking. So, as we sink and relax, the fist appears to sink behind the left hand, but it is the body that is relaxing, we are not pulling our elbow back past the body. Relax and then chop, opening up the fist of the right hand. Cross over. Step back with the left, step forward with the right, and push. And this completes that segment.

It probably goes without saying that being a smart person is not a prerequisite for owning a smartphone.
Just take a look around you.
For more concrete evidence, consider the somehow disturbing results of a study conducted by the Ponemon Institute, a Traverse City, Mich.-based research center dedicated to privacy, data protection and information security policy. After a random but indepth poll of 734 adults regarding their mobile communications behavior, the institute in March released “Smartphone Security: Survey of U.S. Consumers,” a report that, bottom line, points to not-so-smart phone use by our citizenry.
One of the report’s recurring themes focuses on consumers’ apparent indifference to the many serious security risks associated with the storage and transmission of sensitive personal data on iPhone, BlackBerry and Android devices.
For example, while 65 percent of respondents said they do worry about the security of their desktop or laptop computers, 62 percent admitted that when downloading software to their smartphone they do not always check to see if the app is from a trustworthy source, and 58 percent said they do not worry that a hacker might attack their device. In the same vein, 56 percent flatly said they do not feel their private information is at all at risk when they use their Smartphone.
Those percentages represent odd and seemingly incongruous numbers because, meanwhile, 60 percent of the same respondents said they were definitely aware of receiving unwanted marketing messages based on their smartphone use, and a full 55 percent said they understand that they may be putting confidential business information at risk when using their smartphone for both personal and work use (a “cross-over” practice that 84 percent of users say they do all the time).
Among other highlights of the report:
* 89 percent of respondents said they were unaware that smartphone applications can transmit confidential payment information such as credit card details without the user’s knowledge or consent.
* 90 percent of respondents said they were either unaware or unsure of the fact that smartphones can be infected by specialized malware called “diallerware” that enables criminals to make use of premium services or numbers resulting in unexpected monthly charges -- charges that most users apparently miss altogether because 94 percent said they do not check their mobile bill or statement closely every month, and only eight percent check their statement when the bill is higher than usual.
* Despite these and other security risks, less than half of those polled said they use keypad locks or passwords to secure their smartphones, and only 29 percent said they have considered installing an antivirus product to protect their device.
According to the study, the most popular smartphone use next to using it to actually conduct verbal conversations (100 percent of users say they do still resort to this old-school way of communicating) is to use it to check both personal and business e-mail. Using the device as an address book, as a tool for texting and as a vehicle for browsing the Internet are the other top uses.
The least popular smartphone functions are for banking, travel assistance and video conferencing. Researchers at Ponemon, which also is the parent organization of the Responsible Information Management (RIM) Council, conclude that because most people are not using their smartphones for such transactions, they have a mistaken perception that they are somehow immune from potential breaches.
“Because consumers believe its primary use is as a phone or to e-mail, they may think (incorrectly) that there are negligible security or privacy risks,” researchers say in the report. They add that consumers’ misperceptions “could be attributed, in part, to the lack of information being published about smartphone security risks.”
For the Record
Inasmuch as that might be true, here are a few more tidbits from the report that are worth adding to the published literature on the subject:
* Smartphones can contain just as much sensitive data as desktops and laptops, and if that information is lost or stolen, it could result in financial harm.
* Sometimes location data can be embedded onto image files such as digital photos contained in your smartphone, enabling other people to track where you are.
* Some smartphone apps can transmit confidential payment information such as credit card details without your knowledge or consent. Some apps also may contain spyware that allows criminals to access the private information contained on your smartphone.
* If you connect your smartphone to the Internet through a local Wi-Fi network, your device could be open to a virus attack.
* Smartphones contain basic security protection that can be disabled by “jailbreaking,” which makes your device more vulnerable to spyware or malware attacks.
AVG Technologies sponsored Ponemon’s independent study on the smartphone phenomenon. More insight and caveats -- and the complete survey results -- are available in a white paper downloadable on AVG’s website at http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/other/Smartphone.pdf.
“We have increasing responsibility to educate consumers on the dangers lurking in mobile broadband and to help users take ownership of their mobile data security,” said AVG CEO J.R. Smith. “The mobile Internet does not have to be a risky environment, though the industry must work together to encourage users to take action by downloading low-cost or free antivirus products specifically designed to protect mobile data.”
