Urban issues took center stage at a gubernatorial debate in New Haven March 25th, as candidates played to a hometown audience. If you missed it, you can watch it here now. Six Democratic gubernatorial hopefuls—Ned Lamont (at left in photo below), Dan Malloy (at right in photo below), Juan Figueroa, Mary Glassman, Rudy Marconi, and Mike Jarjura—participated in the debate Thursday night at Wilbur Cross High School. New Haven’s Democratic Town Committee, which has the largest bloc of convention delegates (81) up for grabs in the race, hosted the event. Journalists from the Independent, New Haven Register, and La Voz Hispana posed the questions to the candidates. Distributed by Tubemogul.

also appears: *******web.me****/MLB1949/MLB_1949/ SUMMARY: This 1968 political television commercial accurately summarizes the historical legacy of the 1964-68 Lyndon Johnson-Hubert Humphrey Administration: The Democrats' wasteful Big Government and Great Society programs; the continuing urban riots and destruction, college campus demonstrations, and disrespect for authority; the "10% War Surcharge Tax" added-on to the already-high individual tax burden; and, the prolonged -- seemingly unwinnable -- war in VietNam...the Southeast Asian conflict in which billions of taxpayer dollars were wasted and where Johnson had stationed more than 560,000 American troops by 1968...with neither an end nor victory in sight. Not surprisingly, Johnson realized he had no chance of winning in November and publicly declared his refusal (the evening of Sunday, March 31st) "to seek or to accept the nomination of my Party for another term as your President."

The true champions of civil rights historically weren't The Democrat Part but the Republican Party. This is why African Americans were traditionally members of the Republican Party. The genuine history of political parties in the US is shown in this video by David Barton from Wallbuilders. (*******www.kingswaya2****/kingswayblog/archives/178) Republicans, by the year 1875 had passed more than two dozen bills safeguarding the liberties of African Americans. Over the same time, the KKK furthered Democrat's agenda by using violence. KKK terrorist methods against African Americans would have halted if they would forsake the Republican Party. This video uncovers an unpleasant history of The Democrat Party in the United States.
