Based on the upcoming video game re-imagining of the most famous Disney character of all time. A request by Evilgidgetreturns. - The concept of the game is intriguing. The voice you are hearing in this trailer is supposed to belong to Oswald the Lucky Rabbit; a cartoon character that predates the more famous Mickey Mouse and was intended once upon a time to be Disney's star attraction. - Apparently during his stint as a Sorcerer's Apprentice (see the movie Fantasia) Mickey Mouse encountered a world in a painting, reserved for cartoon characters who had long passed their prime. Clumsily he knocked paint thinner onto it and thought little about this mistake...until years later when he is kidnapped and sent to the once magical world, now twisted and rotted because of Mickey's carlessness. King of this world is Oswald. Embittered by Mickey's success, he intends to make his rival pay for both the destruction of the painted world and for edging him out of a career Oswald saw as his right. Over the years while his world was corrupted, Oswald built himself a mechanical version of Mickey's own world, complete with robotic proxies of Mickey's friends, and now with his enemy in his clutches he fancies himself a replacement for the world famous mouse. Armed only with paint thinner and a magic paint brush Mickey is tasked with setting the world to rights, or destroying it forever. - Concept artwork and game screens suggest a darker, but not too gloomy or depressing take on classic Disney characters. Coupled with a story penned by the acclaimed writer behind the Deus Ex series, this promises to be a memorable and different vision of the mouse everyone knows.
