The only way to properly lose weight for the long-term is to understand your body's specific needs, and adjust your lifestyle accordingly. However, there are some principles that will apply to anyone: eat smaller portions and get enough exercise. There are also several tips that many people find helpful: 1. Drink lots of water. 2. Never snack mindlessly (try keeping snacks out of sight, or getting rid of unhealthy foods altogether) 3. Keep a food journal 4. Eat your green vegetables (they are low in calories) 5.
